Homemade beef burger patties, creamy pasta or fried finger food - all for vegans and vegetarians at 2DP.
There are so many vegetarian restaurants in Hong Kong now, serving innovative plant-based food like Just Scramble and even delectable vegan ice-cream. Located in Tsim Sha Tsui, 2DP curates a diverse menu for both meat lovers and vegetarians, so whether you’re into light salads, some healthy carbs, or straight-up fried vegan goodness, 2DP won’t disappoint.
Enjoy a tasty vegetarian meal at 2DP
Unlike a lot of cafes in Hong Kong, 2DP is a spacious vegetarian eatery with bright lights and comfortable seatings. Due to its convenient location in Tsim Sha Tsui, the cafe is often packed with customers, still you will find it a cosy spot to hang out with friends and families.
The seagrape and fig salad may appear to be just like any other healthy salad, but it actually tastes amazing. Drizzled with pineapple dressing, it’s zesty and refreshing – and who doesn’t like eating shiny seagrapes?! The tomato soup takes on a lighter flavour, with buckwheats inside giving it some chewiness, making it a great way to kickstart this soon-to-be-sinful meal.

And our favourite dish was the spaghetti with broccoli and spinach coconut sauce. Blending fresh spinach and coconut milk together as the dairy-free pasta sauce, this dish was creamy, indulgent and very coconut-y. Big thumbs up for the spaghetti noodles which were cooked to al-dente perfection.

One of the signature dishes at the cafe is the 2DP Homemade Veggie Beef Burger, served with crunchy sweet potatoes fries. The vegan burger patty consists of beetroot, oats, okra, lotus roots and more. It has a nice juicy texture – without actually bleeding and tasting like meat – and is packed full of flavours. (And, we love the buns which are certified vegan.)

If you’re down for some fried food, the vegan fish fingers at 2DP are not to be missed. Made of mainly pea protein, the vegan alternative manages to mimic the real thing and even had our meat-eating photographer fooled, just be sure to enjoy them ketchup or tartar sauce (contains dairy) for maximum effect.

Now, onto desserts. The shaved iced with watermelon and pineapple is a lovely treat for vegans in summer. And vegetarians can opt for the popular cinnamon-sugar filling rice pancake, served with milk tea gelato. Made with Korean glutinous rice flour, the pancakes are deliciously gooey and are the perfect indulgence after a busy week.

Last but not least, 2DP is also known for their cold brewed iced tea. We tried the 2DP Tie Guan Yin Mojito which was a delight as it’s flavourful, and we look forward to trying their other drinks, such as their Barcelona cranberry earl grey tea and grapefruit lychee white tea.
