From pork knuckles to playgrounds, WAHAHA serves up flavour and fun in two kid-friendly locations.
When it comes to eating out with the family, Bali truly delivers. It’s full of cute cafes and restaurants with playgrounds and fun activities. And WAHAHA is one of those rare gems that pleases everyone — from the pickiest of toddlers and teens to pork-loving parents. With two easy-to-reach outlets (one in Seminyak and the other in Jimbaran) WAHAHA is where we go when we want seriously good food, a relaxed setting, and zero side-eye when the kids decide to bolt through the garden mid-meal.
Spoiler alert: we’ve pigged out at WAHAHA before (no regrets), and we couldn’t wait to go back. This time, we brought our discerning mini foodies with us, and let’s just say, they gave it two greasy thumbs up. Here’s why this proudly Indonesian pork restaurant is a hit for families in Bali.
WAHAHA’s menu pleases every palate (even fussy kids!)

Let’s get straight to the point: WAHAHA’s menu is not to be missed. It’s best known for its fall-off-the-bone pork ribs, and yes, they live up to the hype. But what we really love is how everything is made in-house, from scratch. That means no MSG, no preservatives, no weird colourings — just proper, home-style cooking with authentic flavours and honest ingredients, straight from their very own garden.
And what a feast it is. There’s satay, a crispy Roast Pork Belly, the BBQ Pulled Pork Burger, and a Smoked BBQ Pork Rice. And parents, don’t worry — the menu isn’t just pork, pork, pork. There are kid-friendly options like pasta, burgers, and onion rings, all thanks to a dedicated kids’ menu. And if that wasn’t enough, the team at WAHAHA is clearly prepped — there are crayons, colouring sheets, and patient smiles all round.
A family favourite: WAHAHA’s Pork Knuckle

If a family feast is all about sharing – you’ve come to the right place. The star of the show here is the WAHAHA Pork Knuckle. It’s a meaty masterpiece and a must-order if you’re dining with family. It’s theatrically served at your table by the chef, who slices it right in front of you. You can hear the satisfying crunch, and the aroma is simply mouthwatering. Be sure to have your camera ready!
It’s a Balinese take on the classic “Sunday roast”. Think crispy crackling, tender and juicy meat that’s been marinating in Balinese spices for 24 hours, then deep fried to crunchy perfection. The WAHAHA Pork Knuckle also comes with not one, but three house-made sambal on the side. There’s Sambal Matah, Sambal Embe and Bumbu Bali.
Top tip: pair your WAHAHA Pork Knuckle with kid-friendly sides, like the grilled corn-on-the-cob, dripping in creamy cheese!
Two family-friendly outlets in Bali’s best locations

WAHAHA’s two Bali branches are strategically located in Seminyak and Jimbaran (close to popular hotels, malls and the airport). In Seminyak, you’ll find a big, breezy indoor space that opens up to a lush garden out back. It’s ideal for kids to run around while you linger over your second cocktail. There are games and plenty of fun murals inside, plus crayons and colouring paper, and WAHAHA merch to take home. The large lawn is an awesome space for events, from intimate family barbecues to an all-out birthday bash for the kids.
Over in Jimbaran, WAHAHA is nestled inside the family-centric Samasta Lifestyle Village, which is an open-air shopping centre. Here, your kids can splash about in the interactive water fountain, then catch the nightly Barong Dance. Think of it as Bali-style dinner, followed by a show! Both locations are just a short drive from the airport, making them a perfect choice for a pre-flight feast or a post-arrival pit stop.
Our verdict? The food is full of flavour, the vibe is relaxed, and our kids were treated like VIP guests. We’ll definitely be back!
