Their menu is packed with dishes made to share (yes, even the kiddos can pig out too!), featuring everything from fall-off-the-bone ribs slathered in finger-licking-good sauce to crispy pork knuckles that crackle with every bite.
They pride themselves on using the highest quality pork, embracing a nose-to-tail concept, and keeping things clean — no preservatives, food colouring, or MSG in sight. But don’t think this is just another rib joint; WAHAHA’s flavours are deeply rooted in Balinese heritage, with recipes that have been passed down through generations, using herbs and spices sourced from their very own farm. At WAHAHA, it’s all about sharing the love — and the food. We gathered our meat-loving crew and dived into a table full of WAHAHA’s finest. First up, the famous WAHAHA Pork Ribs. The ribs are fire-grilled to perfection, with charred bits that add a hint of smokiness to the tender, fall-off-the-bone meat.
But the rib fest didn’t stop there. Out came the WAHAHA Pork Knuckle, and trust us, you’ll want to have your cameras ready for this one. The pork master carves up this crispy, juicy masterpiece right at your table, revealing meat that’s been marinated in Balinese spices for 24 hours and then fried to crispy perfection. Served with three different condiments (two spicy chilli sambals and Bumbu Bali), it’s a flavour explosion you won’t want to miss.
To round out the feast, we couldn’t resist ordering a few sides. The kiddos were happily chomping on grilled corn-on-the-cob while we tucked into Balinese fried rice with chunks of smoked, barbecued pork. For a fresh hit, we added a crisp Caesar salad with a sprinkling of pork crackling (a salty, crunchy surprise!), and the Balinese lawar salad with shredded jackfruit. We washed it all down with pure local fruit juices before diving into dessert — Es Campur, a refreshing mix of fresh fruits, grass jelly, and cassava. Spoiler alert: we came hungry, and we definitely left happy!
