What’s on at Samasta Lifestyle Village
At Samasta Lifestyle Village, you can experience Balinese culture through a variety of free events. And if you ask us, the nightly Barong Dance performance is one of the highlights. Starting from 7pm every evening, the rhythmic sounds of the gamelan orchestra call you to gather around and witness the Balinese tale of good versus evil. It’s a unique glimpse into the island’s mythology and spirituality, brought to life through intricate choreography, as well as expressive masks and costumes.
You’ll want to stick around, because from 8pm, the ambiance slows down and chills out with an acoustic live music performance. We often swing by on a Friday afternoon to catch the traditional rindik performance (a Balinese bamboo instrument) before dinner, and we come back again for the thrilling Fire Dance Show every Sunday.
For those visiting at the end of the month, Samasta also puts on the famous Kecak Dance on the final weekend of the month – a mesmerising fire-lit performance where dancers chant in hypnotic unison. Starting from 6pm, this dramatic spectacle lets you dive deeper into Bali’s cultural treasures.
Eat, shop, repeat at Samasta Lifestyle Village
