Fresh seafood, a stunning vista and cocktails on the terrace - Sardine is a Seminyak icon that’s stood the test of time…
Over the years, Seminyak has seen a wave of new restaurants come and go – with only a few of our all-time faves standing the test of time. Well, one of those iconic classics is Sardine – a casual and stylish seafood restaurant with stunning surrounds. The secret to their success? Serving up great food, cocktails and speedy service in a beautiful setting that screams old-world Bali…
You see, while Sardine sits on the bustling strip of Petitenget, it’s a world away from the buzz of the boutiques and bars outside. It’s a hidden oasis in a charming unique bamboo structure, with a warm Balinese atmosphere overlooking stunning rice paddies or blooming sunflowers, depending on the season. After all, people flock to Bali to experience its natural beauty, and at Sardine, that’s exactly what you get.
You’ll love it because… Sardine is all about that ‘real Bali’ feel, with its beautiful and open-aired bamboo structure overlooking the rice fields. The restaurant serves up a daily changing menu of mains and tapas plates using the freshest ingredients around – all dependent upon the day’s catch from local fishermen and farmers.
You’ll want to try the… Banyuwangi scallops for lunch, served warm on a half-shell with a scrummy Asian salsa. For dinner, try the panache of Yellowfin tuna, barramundi, and jumbo prawns with roasted sweet pepper. And FYI, the Bloody Mary’s here are worth sipping on too, best enjoyed on the breezy terrace with a selection of tapas to share.
Come back for the… weekly events and menu specials. Every Wednesday, Sardine serves up a home-raised Balinese-spiced roast suckling pig, and on a Friday, you can feast on their signature Indian Ocean Bouillabaisse…
