New attractions and things to do in Bali – May 2026
Merasa Origins at Desa Potato Head Bali – Seminyak
A three-part immersive series celebrating the cultural roots of wellness traditions from India, Java and Bali.

Ever wondered why wellness in Bali feels so different from anywhere else? Merasa Origins might just give you the answer. Hosted at the iconic Desa Potato Head Bali, this is a new immersive wellbeing series that traces the cultural roots of wellness from India to Java, and finally to Bali.
I’ll be joining their first session in June, and I love that this is more than just about doing the practices, but truly understanding them. Each four-day immersion is designed as a full journey, blending movement, meditation, and ritual into one continuous experience. Think sunrise breathwork, sound immersions, plant-based healing, and slow, introspective workshops. And of course, it all happens within the Desa, so you’re moving between sessions, meals and downtime in one beautifully integrated space. I’d even say it’s my favourite stay in Seminyak.
Best for: Wellness seekers who want a deeper, more meaningful reset beyond the regular spa days.
Good to know: Each immersion runs for 4 days and 3 nights across June, September and November 2026, with limited spots to keep things intimate.
Address: Desa Potato Head Bali, Seminyak
SŌMA Aesthetics & Longevity Club – Uluwatu
Uluwatu’s first longevity-focused medical aesthetics clinic, bringing Singapore-standard care to the Bukit.

SŌMA Aesthetics & Longevity Club is the first doctor-led aesthetics and longevity clinic in Uluwatu, founded by Dr Shirley Yuliana Kwee, a UK- and Singapore-trained physician with over 20 years of experience.
What’s so special about it? For starters, everything here starts with proper insight. You’re not just picking treatments off a menu (although you can still do this if you want), because every treatment is tailored to your skin, your body, and your goals. Think advanced facials, regenerative therapies, and in-depth health checks.
I haven’t been yet, but as a wellness enthusiast, I am already plotting my first visit with their PRP Vampire Facial. It combines microneedling with plasma drawn from your own blood to stimulate collagen and skin renewal. And if you want to go deeper, they also offer biological age testing and full longevity programmes.
Best for: Anyone who wants personalised treatments backed by medical expertise.
Good to know: Need a boost after a long flight or a big night out? No worries, their mobile IV service comes straight to your villa.
Address: Jl. Pantai Suluban, Pecatu

Longevity Retreat at Goddess Retreats – Seminyak
A women-only retreat combining biohacking technologies with healing rituals.

You can’t really say you’ve experienced Bali without dipping into its world-famous wellness scene – and Goddess Retreats is one of the standouts in Seminyak. This year, they’re introducing a new seven-day Longevity Retreat, so you might want to extend your Bali trip (but it’s so worth it!).
The heartbeat of the experience is the Contrast Therapy Suite. There’s something incredibly grounding about moving between the heat of the Nordic sauna and the sharp, clarity-inducing chill of the ice baths. Combine that with red light therapy and infrared sessions, and it feels like your nervous system has finally found its “off” switch.
And if you lean towards the indulgent side of wellness, Goddess Retreats delivers on that too. The retreat includes luxury accommodation, personalised longevity therapies and unlimited spa treatments (yes, unlimited), plus daily yoga and nourishing wellness cuisine. Wellness in Bali has always been special, but this takes it to a whole new level.
Best for: Women seeking a deeper wellness reset focused on longevity and balance in Bali.
Good to know: The founder, Chelsea Ross, curated this retreat after a 12-year deep dive into biohacking and longevity-focused wellness, so you know you’re in the hands of a pro.
Address: Jalan Braban Gang 333 A No.1, Banjar Taman Kerobokan
Galaxy Glow Party at AeroXSpace Bali – Sanur
A family-friendly neon party inside Bali’s largest indoor adventure park.

Something new is lighting up AeroXSpace (literally!). The Galaxy Glow Party transforms Bali’s largest indoor adventure park into a neon-lit playground, where guests are kitted out with glowing socks, shirts and sunglasses that react under the lights, instantly making the whole space feel more playful and immersive.
Happening every Saturday, the session brings a full party atmosphere with live DJs, neon performances and glow-filled energy layered on top of the park’s usual attractions. My personal highlight was the 360 VR Flying Cinema. At one point, I actually got “eaten” by a sea monster (oddly enough, it was the best feeling ever). It’s immersive, slightly ridiculous, and exactly the kind of experience you’ll want to share with friends or family.
The Galactic Zipline is another must-try; gliding across the course gives just enough adrenaline to balance out the neon fun happening below. If you’re looking for a Saturday plan that the whole family will actually enjoy, this is your move.
Best for: Families or groups of friends looking for a a fun, high-energy indoor activity.
Good to know: The VR experiences and Galactic Zipline are add-ons that require an extra fee, but they’re absolutely worth trying!
Address: Jl. Bypass Ngurah Rai No. 999

New luxury hair spa and salon in Canggu.

If you’ve ever left a haircut feeling like you just had therapy, Rob Peetoom Canggu takes that feeling to the next level! Set just off Padang Linjong in a stunning bamboo and glass structure designed by architect Andra Matin, this is no ordinary salon. It’s a space where hairstyling is treated as an artform, from scalp consultations and custom masks to aromatherapy oils and calming herbal teas.
Just like its sister salons in Ubud and Seminyak, Rob Peetoom Canggu delivers that signature calming energy. With peaceful rice field views and the quiet charm of Padang Linjong, it’s the kind of spot you’ll want to come back to (I know I will!).

Workshops at Umah Living – Seminyak
Eco-conscious Candle & Room Spray Making Workshop using soy wax and premium oils to capture Bali’s natural scents.

If you love the luxurious scent of frangipani or the sea-salty breeze, you can now capture the aroma that reminds you of Bali at Umah Living’s Candle & Room Spray Making Workshop. Guided by the store’s expert artisans, you’ll learn the craft using eco-conscious materials, including soy candle and premium fragrance oils, to create your own signature scents to take home.
The workshop starts with an exploration of scent blending – top, middle, and base notes – and lets you pour your personalised candle, and mix a room spray that reminds you of your Bali memories.
Best for: Couples or small groups who want a hands-on, relaxing activity in Bali.
Good to know: You’ll leave with your handcrafted candle and signature room spray, and a deeper appreciation of Bali’s natural botanicals.
Address: Jl Mertanadi No. 72, Kerobokan.
Klay Bar – Canggu
Canggu’s first sip & paint bistrot for small groups, offering painting on Javanese clay pieces while enjoying cocktails and bar bites.

Sipping and painting go hand in hand in my books. So when I heard that there’s a spot in Canggu where you can do both, I went there to check it out! Klay Bar is an activity-focused bistrot brought to us by a wonderful team of ladies who love art. It’s the first of its kind in Canggu, where everyone is welcome to paint clay pieces whilst sipping on cocktails, grazing on bar bites (think cheese platters, cold cuts, croquettes and fresh oysters) and keeping the conversation going.
I first got to choose my own clay piece, AKA my canvas. There’s a variety to choose from, from bowls and plates, to mugs and tea cups. They’re all minimalist and elegant in design, crafted with Javanese clay. Then, I picked the colours I wanted to use before I settled in for a fun-filled afternoon with a mimosa in hand. Cheers to that!
Best for: Small groups looking for a fun and social afternoon in Canggu.
Good to know: To finish, the clay pieces are heated in the kiln for a few days. You’ll want to check with the team beforehand, if you’re in Bali for a limited time.
Address: Jl Tanah Barak No. 1a, Canggu.
More New Things in Bali 2026

One of my travel rituals is tasting a locally-brewed craft beer, and lucky for us, there’s a newly launched addition to Bali-based breweries: Beaches. This independent, locally-owned brewery uses all-natural and sustainably sourced ingredients to create beers that are super drinkable! I tried both of their signatures, and my favourite is the light-bodied Cerveza lager with a citrusy finish – it’s perfect for any occasion, whether you’re toasting to sunset or hanging out post-dinner with your crew.
For cocktail aficionado, how about a sip of the newly launched vodka, Blackrock? Hand-distilled in Bali using volcanic rock filtered spring water, this local spirit showcases expert craftsmanship through its purity, minerality and oh-so-smooth finish. Every sip is clean and crisp, thanks to a multi-stage charcoal filtration process, yet retains an earthy edge – a nod to the volcanic rock that shapes its character. Blackrock is brought to us by the team behind Bali’s Kura Kura Beer, Santai Seltzer and Three Peaks Gin, so they know their alcohol!
