This minimalist haven features exclusive home and food merchandise, special exhibitions and in-store promotions
As major fans of the minimalist and functional of Japanese lifestyle brand MUJI, we waited for the launch of its first Southeast Asian flagship store in Singapore with bated breath. A whopping 1,640 sq m space filled with understated and practical apparel, furniture and travel accessories? Yes, please! Well, folks, the agony is now over – because the largest MUJI outlet in Singapore has just landed at Plaza Singapura. Here’s a sneak peek of what you can look forward to.
Ring in brand new exciting concepts
Whether you’re a budding artist or just appreciate thoughtful design, you’ll be thrilled to know that the new MUJI flagship store will be home to several new concepts adapted from their Japan HQ, that goes beyond shopping. Pick up creative skills, browse exhibitions and attend talks by designers at Open MUJI, an open community space. Curate your wardrobe with simple and practical apparels from MUJI Labo, a special line that focuses on functional design using sustainable materials, or simplify your home with sophisticated furniture from IDÉE, a collaboration between MUJI and up-and-coming designers from around the world.
Snap up exclusive merchandise

The oak table round leg dining series is perfect for those who favour organic accents, as each piece is made with minimal alteration to the wood. Transform your living area into a minimalistic oasis with the sleek unit sofa, which consists of small parts that you can arrange however you’d like! Frequent travelers can also pick up the super handy hanging bath case in new exclusive colours, aqua blue and beige, or grab a limited edition Singapore map foldable shopping bag.
Tuck into a yummy and nutritious Japanese meal
Already one of our go-to restos for tasty and healthy nosh, Café&Meal MUJI is launching its third outlet at Plaza Singapura with two exclusive dishes. Besides the classic deli sets, feast on pork katsu donburi ($15.90) – crispy pork cutlet drizzled with Japanese mayonnaise and tonkatsu sauce paired with leafy greens and an onsen egg, and cheese baked butter curry chicken rice ($17.90) – chicken, carrot and zucchini cooked in fragrant butter curry and topped with mozzarella cheese.
