The Art of Healing programme at Tan Tock Seng Hospital brings the arts into the hospital to create moments of comfort, joy and connection for patients, caregivers, visitors and staff. This October, the Art of Healing presents a line-up spanning movement, traditional and contemporary music, choral singing and orchestral performance.
October programme:
7 October | The Five Elements Movement
Presented by The Very Quiet Studio, this multidisciplinary performance brings together movement and music through the elements of earth, water, fire, wind and space. The performance is an exploration of resilience and mental well-being through the arts, and invites audiences to pause and reflect on our connection with nature, ourselves and the world around us.
15 October | Ding Yi Music Company
Known as Singapore’s leading Chinese chamber music ensemble, Ding Yi Music Company returns to perform at TTSH, offering a midday musical experience rooted in tradition while embracing contemporary interpretations.
26 October | Sing’theatre
As part of its long-standing partnership with the Art of Healing programme, Sing’theatre’s Once Upon A Song brings delightful live music and memories to uplift spirits and create moments of connection within the hospital community.
27 October | Assumption English School Choir
Through choral music, the students share their passion for singing while creating moments for patients, caregivers, visitors and staff to take a midday pause and enjoy live music together.
29 October | SJI International Orchestra & Choir
SJI International’s performing arts programme gives students space to explore, create and perform, while developing musicianship through collaborative music-making. Expect the rich sound of instrumental and vocal ensembles coming together, with each section adding its own colour, character and voice to the performance.
All performances are held at the TTSH Atrium, Level 1, and are free for all.
