At OTH’s Hari Raya Edutainment, participants can immerse themselves in Raya-themed craft activities such as DIY traditional Wau painting, 3D ketupat plushie creation, and ceramic sayong painting, alongside nostalgic kampung games including hopscotch, Raya-themed Find and Match Game, and giant colek lidi (pick-up sticks). Beyond celebrating Malay heritage and traditions, these activities offer residents meaningful opportunities to play, learn and connect.
From 14 to 22 March, freshly baked cookies from Yellow Ribbon Bakery will be available for purchase at Festive Walk East – offering residents and visitors an opportunity to support second chances through meaningful community enterprise.
Visitors can also explore a selection of handmade cookie samples prepared by participants of the Heart Bakers @ North East CDC programme, who have started their own home-based baking businesses.
The Heart Bakers @ North East CDC initiative supports lower-income stay-home mothers and aspiring home bakers by equipping them with baking, business and marketing skills. Through the programme, participants gain the confidence and greater financial independence.
Drop by Festive Walk East to pick up a festive treat, share the joy of giving, and support community initiatives that make a difference during the Ramadan season.
