What’s it like growing up Deaf in Singapore? Come find out.
From fingerspelling to friendships, International Week of Deaf People (IWDP) offers a front-row seat to lived experiences, shared perspectives and everyday moments that shape Deaf life.
Three featured programmes require registration and are free to join:
-SgSL Workshops: Try your hands at Singapore Sign Language (SgSL). No experience needed, just curiosity and good vibes.
-Ask Me Anything: Engage with Deaf and Hard-of-hearing youths, including a journalist, nurse, finance folk and analysts in the pharmaceutical and business fields. Ask about school, work, friendships or anything you’ve always wanted to know.
-Interactive Q&A Sessions: Hear directly from community members. Explore lived experiences and connect through open, honest conversation.
Scan the QR codes to register and save your seat. Spots are limited, so don’t miss out.
Event Accessibility:
Sign language interpretation services will be available for the SgSL workshops and Q&A sessions. Sign language interpretation and notetaking services will be available for Ask Me Anything.
