Looking for a free, arts-packed weekend with a touch of whimsy and a whole lot of inspiration? Make your way to Goodman Open House 2025, where Arts House Limited (AHL) once again pulls out all the stops to show us just how vibrant Singapore’s creative scene can be. Take it from us, this open house promises something for everyone – and it’s free admission! (Some workshops are ticketed.)
Taking place at Goodman Arts Centre, this annual open house is the perfect excuse to step into the creative spaces of Singapore’s resident artists and performers. This year’s edition turns the creative dial up with new experiences for all ages. Kids aged 5 to 10 can dive into When I Grow Up! by SDEA – a drama-based workshop that lets them role-play chefs, firefighters, doctors and more, while picking up skills through storytelling. Curious about calligraphy? Grown-ups can try their hand at writing and practising Chinese characters using traditional brush techniques whilst there.
That’s not all: don’t miss the performance by The Ministry of Bellz to marvel at the sounds of traditional English handbells. After your sonic journey, head to Plantitude’s eco-conscious market for nature-forward products, and thoughtfully crafted pieces. End the day on a chill note with Transformers One at Cinewav’s outdoor silent cinema where you can bring your own headphones or grab a pair on-site.
Mark your calendar, rally your arts-loving crew, and get ready to immerse yourself in Singapore’s creative heartbeat.
