1. Tanisha Jain
Tell us about what you do.
I’m a leadership and well-being coach for ambitious professionals ready to level up. They’re aware something needs to change, they’re ready to take bold risks, and they want to gain confidence to step into their power. Post-coaching, most of my clients have taken big risks like quitting a toxic job or launching their entrepreneurial venture. I offer a blend of leadership development and mental wellness coaching.
What inspired you to become a life coach?
After my graduate studies at Columbia University, I recognised a significant gap in the coaching industry between high-potential executive coaching with a prohibitive cost, and myriad coaching styles that lack authenticity or qualifications.
My mission is to bridge this divide by offering high-quality coaching accessible to everyone. I believe in the transformative power of having a “mirror” that reflects and guides individuals towards realising their fullest potential. I’m passionate about empowering millennial women and people of colour, to help them break barriers and become the best versions of themselves.
What does your coaching style look like?
My style is client-centric and action-oriented to support behaviour change through overcoming limitations. At the heart of my approach is the celebration of unique strengths. I guide clients to elevate what naturally thrives within, rather than fixing perceived shortcomings.
Drawing deeply from the wells of positive psychology, conscious leadership, and psychodynamic insights, I create a compassionate, empowering space for clients to flourish on their path to personal and professional development.

2. Jean Balfour
Tell us about what you do.
I’m a master certified coach, doing both life and executive coaching for 25 years. I’m passionate about helping people to be happy and successful in their working lives. Clients come to me to help them make sense of their role and career, when they are stuck, or when they have a big goal they’d like to achieve.
What inspired you to become a life coach?
I didn’t set out to be a coach. I had a client who was a senior leader and needed help to gain her first board-level position. Together, we worked out what coaching was. She got the role and I discovered how a powerful conversation based on deep presence and listening can be transformational. Since then, I’ve seen how people can change, achieve their dreams and goals, and become more confident through the power of coaching.
What type of questions do your clients usually ask?
My clients are often mid-career women looking for a safe space, away from work, to talk about work. They come to me with questions about work and life. I help them overcome self-doubt, name and remove self-sabotaging behaviours, and build resilience and grit. It’s usually us who stop ourselves from performing our best.
What does your coaching style look like?
My role is to help clients access their wisdom, ambition, purpose and skill. I’m also a warm, goal-oriented person. The best coaches create a safe environment where clients can explore and express themselves. When you work with me, we identify your coaching goals. With a mix of warm presence and kind challenge, we work towards those goals.

3. Sophie Leung
Tell us about what you do.
Running my practice for four years, I specialise in trauma recovery and emotional healing. I work with clients to make sustainable shifts in their work and life through my signature program, Core Confidence Mastery. I support women and teens to feel confident in their skin and own their voice. This leads to healthier relationships, work opportunities aligned to their goals and dreams, and deeper authentic connections. It’s heartwarming because my main mission is to create a better future for this and the generations to come.
What inspired you to become a life coach?
I’ve always had that deep inner knowing that I was here to serve people. Along the way, I lost myself to traumatic events that included emotional and sexual abuse. I turned to alcohol and relationships to soothe my pain; because my nervous system shut down, I fell into depression.
In the corporate world, I constantly burned out and had panic attacks. After I learned that the body keeps score, I understood my body was reacting to past traumatic events. My then-partner and I parted ways, and there was a reorganisation in my company so I left on amicable terms. This gave me the space to rediscover myself. During my trauma recovery and emotional healing journey, I observed someone dear to me lose herself to built-up anxiety and past trauma. That’s when I understood the importance of taking care of our mental and emotional well-being.
What type of questions do your clients usually ask?
They tend to ask, “Is this it? Have I simply settled into my life and played it safe with my partner and my work? There must be more.” Those going through a divorce or experiencing relationship issues or codependent traits ask me, “Will I ever have a healthy relationship with someone special to me?”
What does your coaching style look like?
My coaching style is holistic and flexible; I go at the pace of my client’s nervous system. Everyone is unique – they have different preferences and respond to various modalities differently. I support my clients based on their current needs for that session. It’s a partnership, so we work towards their ultimate goal.

4. Charlotte Teo
Tell us about what you do.
I help women find the strength to become unshakeable and reach for what they want in their lives. I’ve been doing this for 14 months and I’m loving every moment of it. I specialise in confidence and helping working mums in life’s transition points.
I’ve been blessed with clients who realise that the status quo isn’t enough for them. They want change; they just don’t know what it looks like yet. They may come to me initially seeking answers, but through the process, the answers come from themselves through coaching.
What inspired you to become a life coach?
It was my journey of reaching the “top” of my career and burning out. I had my self-worth entirely wrapped in my career. I didn’t know who I was, what I valued or my purpose. I left my corporate marketing role and did self-discovery and introspection work through a coaching course. After the first module, I felt inspired to get certified to help other women get clarity on who they are – that they are wonderfully created for greatness.
What does your coaching style look like?
My style is spontaneous, fun, and no-nonsense. I believe each person is inherently wise, creative, resourceful and whole. We’re all individually unique – no one can do what we do or be who we are in the same way. Our uniqueness is a gift for those around us. It’s my desire for my clients to know how powerful they are, to trust themselves and live with no regrets.

5. Evelyn Bonney
Tell us about what you do.
I’m a registered nurse with 20 years of nursing experience, a mum of three (including twins!) and a certified Sleep Sense consultant. I take a holistic approach to children’s sleep training, working with parents and children to provide personalised sleep plans tailored to the family’s needs. My clients have children up to age six.
Over two weeks, I offer a support package which includes a detailed analysis of an in-depth questionnaire, a customised sleep plan for the child, a consultation on implementing the sleep plan and nursery safety assessment, as well as follow-up support.
What inspired you to become a life coach?
Looking after patients for many years, I knew my skill set lay in being with people and helping them through difficult circumstances. I had twins at nearly 40 and realised how important sleep is for all aspects of life. When my twins slept through the night, it was life-changing. So, I combined my love of supporting people with my love of sleep and trained to be a sleep consultant.
What type of questions do your clients usually ask?
Examples include: My baby wakes frequently in the night. How do I get them to sleep longer? How can I get my toddler to stay in their bed? My baby is breastfeeding to sleep every two hours overnight – how do I change this?
What does your coaching style look like?
There’s no blaming or shaming! Parenting is hard and it’s my job to make my clients understand that it’s normal. They’ve done nothing wrong and they’re not alone. I support, coach and educate my clients so they can take back control and improve the whole family’s sleep in the long term.

6. Joonyoung Kim
Tell us about what you do.
I help overworked businesswomen prioritise their time and energy on things that matter while creating a thriving business. My program, Redesign Productivity, is for high-achieving women whose strong sense of responsibility and high standards drive them hard across all aspects of their lives. I work with women on productivity and personal leadership, helping them rethink what it means to live a productive life, which includes their business, home life, relationships and everything else.
What inspired you to become a life coach?
As a recovering perfectionist (I trained as a concert pianist in a competitive conservatory setting), I’ve always pushed myself toward high performance. I’m also a natural helper. This led to frequently overworking, overachieving, and over-extending my time and energy. I realised after hitting rock bottom that this “autopilot” way of living didn’t make me substantially happier or richer.
I studied coaching to pursue a more meaningful connection with myself and contribute to my surroundings positively. I wanted to share my wisdom and experience with fellow businesswomen.
What type of questions do your clients usually ask?
They ask me what needs to be done to create balance. But women often have no problem doing things. The problem is that we do too much. I often say, stop trying to do stuff. And I ask them who they want to be.
What does your coaching style look like?
I believe everyone is naturally creative, resourceful and whole; I dance with the client in her unique growth journey. I leverage the whole person in every coaching conversation using embodiment and engaging the body, mind, emotions and spirit to evoke a meaningful transformation.

7. Ruchi Parekh
Tell us about what you do.
I’ve been coaching since 2015; I have over 800 hours of coaching under my belt. I do executive and career coaching, specialising in working with professionals who have climbed the corporate ladder but are battling imposter syndrome. They are low on self-confidence and self-esteem, so I help them find their purpose and meaning in life. My main objective is to help professionals move forward, find fulfilment, and have success in all the roles they play.
What inspired you to become a life coach?
I was often the go-to person for family and friends when they needed a sounding board or someone to help them with their concerns. Coaching is more than work for me – it’s my life’s mission. Empowering individuals to change their lives and live better versions of themselves is my biggest motivator. I started as a life coach to help make this world better, one client at a time – that’s my biggest inspiration.
What type of questions do your clients usually ask?
“I feel unfulfilled despite having a good job at a reputable organisation with a high salary. My life has no purpose. How do I wake up in the morning feeling happy?”
“I’m good at what I do but work feels like a drag. Maybe I need a challenge. How do I make my life exciting?”
“I always prioritise others in my life, but I want to prioritise myself now. How can I do it?”
What does your coaching style look like?
I usher my clients on a journey of self-discovery with powerful action planning to leverage their strengths and address developmental gaps. I provide them with the impetus and inspiration to take action, using powerful coaching tools and methods. My coaching style is results-oriented, so my clients experience a paradigm shift that allows them to achieve results in their professional and personal lives.

8. Caryn White
Tell us about what you do.
I guide clients to identify and address the root cause of problems, empowering transformative changes. As a full-time life coach since 2021, I work with professional corporate women juggling personal and professional life responsibilities. They desire to have a fulfilling career or are considering making changes and want clarity on this.
What inspired you to become a life coach?
I was at a workshop in China where we were asked about the jobs we wanted to do. As my friend wrote everything she wasn’t officially qualified for, I looked at mine, crossed it all out and started again. Then the facilitator shared, “I want to be a coach”. I was inspired and curious to find out more. Within weeks, I was enrolled.
What type of questions do your clients usually ask?
Examples include: How do I stop procrastinating? How do I create more work-life balance? How can I stop getting triggered by this person? How can I be more consistent? How do I ask for a promotion? How do I find my purpose?
What does your coaching style look like?
My style is an intuitive coaching approach. I focus on my clients learning to trust and know their inner selves. Through this, they achieve the transformation they desire (often beyond what they initially imagined). Post-session, they are empowered and equipped for the journey ahead.
