Garage Society has opened in Wan Chai
Garage Society has opened a new 6,000sq-ft multi-purpose event space in Wan Chai. Featuring a huge outdoor terrace, a cafe by The Social Club and urban farming facilities with Rooftop Republic, we think this is going to be the most exciting space yet (and we’re not just saying that because we work in a Garage Society space!) The new space will hold regular events curated internally, but external partners are welcome to collaborate on panels and events too.

Songkran menu at Soul Food Thai
To celebrate Songkran, Soul Food Thai is serving a selection of dishes that are typical of what Thai families eat during this special time of year. Dig into beef larb with Northern spices and fresh herbs, or try the sour and spicy pork rib soup with roasted rice and lemongrass. Paying homage to the Central plains, the cocnut lon with crab meat and grilled prawns comes with blanched vegetables and leaves, or try the spicy grilled squid with mandarin and lime juice.

NOC Coffee Co. opening in Wan Chai
One of our favourite cafes in Hong Kong, NOC Coffee Co. will soon be opening in Wan Chai. That’s right, Wan Chai coffee lovers will be able to get their fill of delicious coffee and food very soon. Word is that the new cafe will open in May on Tai Wong Street, but until then, you can get your fix at the Central or Sai Ying Pun locations.
Things are changing at Beef & Liberty
After years on Sun Street in Wan Chai, Beef & Liberty is closing up shop thanks to another redevelopment in the area. But don’t fret, burger lovers, as they’re throwing a farewell shindig on 22 April to bid adieu to the hood.
But never fear, as B&L at Hong Kong Airport has flung open its doors tarmac-side so that you can get a burger fix before you jet off into the sunset somewhere.

Swedish brand Oatly has landed at Green Common, bringing with it oat-based treats like matcha latte and organic oat drink. Our fave is definitely the cold brew latte, and we think even milk hounds will love this one.

Who doesn’t love a good Le French May? Wine, cheese, art, performance and general Frenchness is always great. And we hear that this year, for the 10th anniversary, they’ll be celebrating everything from the south of France. Bringing on that sun-kissed produce!
Live a bit extra in Oman and the UAE
Apparently Lightfoot Travel and GI Aviation have teamed up to bring the extra to your next holiday! Journey through Abu Dhabi deserts and Oman while you stay at ultra luxe properties by Anantara (we hear you even get transported to some in special vehicles!) At just $42,250, it’s a total steal we reckon.
Commissary takes it Keto
Up at Commissary, they’re about to take coffee to the next level with the introduction of plant based milks, soft brews and #ketocoffee injections like cacao butter and coconut oil. Purists can lift their Redback coffee experience to new heights before heading back to the CrossFit box. Too easy.
