Hong Kong China International Tattoo Convention 2018
Aiming to facilitate cultural exchange between local and international tattoo artists, as well as to educate the public on tattoo history, this year’s Hong Kong China International Tattoo Convention has invited nearly 270 groups from across the globe to participate this year, including Robert Hernandez (Spain), Charly Huurman (Spain), Calle Corson (Sweden), Shibuya Horimasa (Japan), Bez (UK) and Max Titanic (UK).
Organised by Freedom Tattoo and TDL China Tattoo Development League, the annual tattoo convention is one of Hong Kong’s most-looked-forward-to events. All participants have attained internationally recognised hygiene standards and have received professional certificates. So you’re in good hands if you’re about to get a new tattoo!
Looking to catch some installations and performances? The 6th Hong Kong China International Tattoo Convention will introduce its first Miss Tattoo Hong Kong to redefine female beauty and celebrate the tattooed body. There will also be tattoo competitions where four tattoo artists – Robert Hernandez (Spain), Shibuya Horimasa (Japan), Bez (UK) and Max Titanic (UK) – will perform live tattoo painting on suitcases, and visitors can then cast their vote. Aside from that, a number of bands and local artists will bring live music, such as The Aniki Band (Japan), LMF (HK), Qiu Hong (HK) and 24 Herbs (HK).
