The newest restaurant from Black Sheep Restaurants, Fukuro, will open in SoHo in mid-May, and we can't wait to try out the menu
Give us all the food! From refined French cuisine to lashings of parmesan at the best Italian restaurants in town or healthy salads, we are always in the mood for a good meal, and if you’re looking for late night eats, Fukuro is going to be your jam in SoHo.
We can’t wait for Fukuro to open

Located right next to one of the restaurant groups’ most popular hangs, Ho Lee Fook, Fukuro takes inspiration from the after-work joints of Japan: izakaya. This is the kind of place you can unwind and enjoy some beers, but of course Black Sheep Restaurants have flashed the idea up somewhat.
Dishes include ingredients such as Australian wagyu and Japanese oysters, to sate even the fussiest of the palates. There’s load of seafood, which is being prepared in traditional Japanese style, and there’s even around five dishes that vegetarians can enjoy, which is not always the case when it comes to izakaya dining, so woo-to-the-hoo.

Fukuro actually means ‘owl’ in Japanese, and one if it’s biggest draws, apart from the Japanese chef who brings the authenticity, is the fact that it’s going to be open into the wee-small hours, meaning you crawl in after partying and have yourself a tasty cocktail, Japanese whisky, cocktail or drunk snack.
Word on the street is that the vibes at Fukuro will be lifted with music including rock’n’roll, we just hope that they play the real Japanese deal and hit us with some awesome J-rock!
We can’t wait to try the food, which will be being served from some stage next week.
