Feather & Bone is the perfect place to shop if you're a conscious consumer, and we love that they are making it easy for customers to support three local charities
There are so many ways that you can help your local community in Hong Kong. From volunteering to donating used goods to reducing single-use plastic, there are loads of ways that you can make a difference. And pioneering butcher and delicatessen Feather & Bone is adding to the mix with the launch of the Feather & Bone Loyalty Programme, a new initiative that sees three great local charities benefitting from in-store purchases.
Why we’re getting behind the new Feather & Bone Loyalty Programme
We believe that building community is one of the best ways to help foster relationships and knowledge, so when our neighbours Feather & Bone told us they were doing some cool new things with local charities, we had to find out more.

“We have been working hard towards launching our Loyalty Programme, and we’re finally up and running, giving back to Hong Kong organisations that rely heavily on donations,” says Mark Chan, General Manager. “We hope to eventually include more charity organisations in the roster.”
At $1 per point, customers can choose to donate their points to their preferred charity, or use any number of points to receive a discount of up to 3% on their shopping or dining bill, where the conversion is the same. The new Feather & Bone Loyalty Programme makes it easy for customers to donate to one of three local charities: Plastic Oceans, HELP for Domestic Workers and Variety.
Find out why we think Feather & Bone is one of the best places to eat breakfast in Hong Kong.
Plastic Oceans
Feather & Bone has always been committed to reducing plastic waste (did you know that you get 10% off if you bring your own takeaway coffee cup and that Feather & Bone doesn’t use any plastic straws?), so working with Plastic Oceans seems like a natural progression. The foundation works on creating social impact, generating ideas and finding solutions to reduce plastic via global partnerships and educational programmes, challenging the perception that plastic is disposable.
HELP for Domestic Workers
A non-profit that provides free advice on employment and education as well as advocacy for foreign domestic workers in Hong Kong, HELP for Domestic Workers is another one of the charities on the Feather & Bone Loyalty Programme roster.
Variety
And finally, Variety is one of Hong Kong’s best known children’s charities that will be benefitting from the new Feather & Bone Loyalty Programme. Providing resources to meet the needs of physically, mentally and socially disadvantaged children in the city, this charity helps kids reach their full potential, which we are all about.
So, next time you’re shopping at Feather & Bone in Sai Ying Pun, Central or Happy Valley, be sure to donate your points to help make Hong Kong a better place for everyone.
