Suncity Group 66th Macau Grand Prix
Calling all those with a need for speed! Perhaps the biggest event on Macao’s yearly calendar, get revved up for the Suncity Group 66th Macau Grand Prix. Taking place from 14-17 November on the Guia Circuit, watch as some of the world’s best drivers set the pace throughout the streets of Macau. Hit the stands and watch drivers battle it out in the Suncity Group Formula 3 Macau Grand Prix – FIA F3 World Cup, the SJM Macau GT Cup – FIA GT World Cup, and the Suncity Group Macau Guia Race – FIA WTCR.

2019 Galaxy Entertainment Macao International Marathon
If you’re a runner, there’s still time to register for the 2019 Galaxy Entertainment Macao International Marathon that’s happening on 1 December, 2019. Grab your buddies as a cheer squad and put foot to pavement through the beautiful streets of Macao – there’s even Half Marathon or Mini Marathon options. And why not make a weekend out of it by enjoying time soaking up all of what Macao has to offer after you’ve finished racing?

The 9th Macau Shopping Festival
Shop up a storm from 1-31 December at The 9th Macau Shopping Festival. Just in time for those Christmas gifts (and some for yourself of course!), get ready to embrace the winter shopping season with a range of unique activities, stalls and deals available throughout various shopping precincts during the last month of 2019.

19th Macau Food Festival
From 8-24 November, all foodies will want to head over to the UNESCO Creative City of Gastronomy for the 19th Macau Food Festival, which this year is themed Celebrate the 20th Anniversary of Macao Reunification with World Gourmet with highlights from Hokaito Village. As well as showcasing local food producers in a carnival-like atmosphere, you can expect to try delicacies crafted by participants from across the world. In addition to the great food and drink, a number of performances, games and activities will be happening to get you in the party spirit.

Macao International Parade
The Macao International Parade promises to bring even more colour and entertainment on December 16th, as it marks the 20th anniversary of Macao SAR Establishment. Providing local arts groups a performance platform to express their creativity while encouraging participants to showcase their creative talent, the Macao International Parade aims to promote the diversified development of Macao’s cultural industries and create opportunities for local artists to observe and conduct exchange activities with international performing groups.

Macao Light Festival
Macao is beautiful at any time of year, but things get pretty special during the annual Macao Light Festival. Running throughout the month of December at various locations across the peninsula and islands, you can expect eye-catching projection mapping, light installations, interactive games and a range of activities for young and old alike. Be sure to take your camera to snap unique shots of the special occasion.

EVENTS FOR CULTURE BUFFS
33rd Macao International Music Festival
The theme for the 33rd Macao International Music Festival is ‘The Instrumentalist’, paying homage to the relationship every musician has with their instrument. Running until 30 October, be sure to catch Mozart’s famed opera, The Magic Flute or witness as Macao Orchestra joins forces with the China NCPA Orchestra and Chorus to present The Yellow River Cantata by Macanese composer Xian Xinghai. The Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra and celebrated Chinese pianist Yuja Wang will present two outdoor concerts featuring Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto No. 3 and Dvořák’s Symphony No. 9, and a number of other local and international acts will also be taking to the stage.

22nd Lusofonia Festival
From 18-20 October, the 22nd Lusofonia Festival will celebrate the history of Macao. During the three-day event, performing arts groups will bring song, dance and music to the stage in front of Carmo Church, sharing the colour and culture of nine different Portuguese-speaking countries, including Angola, Brazil, Cape Verde, Guinea-Bissau, Goa. Daman and Diu, Uzbekistan, Portugal, São Tomé and Príncipe, East Timor and Macau’s Portuguese-speaking Portuguese community. Children will be able to join in on a selection of traditional games, and even a football match, as Jiamo radio station broadcasts Portuguese-speaking national music throughout the day. And don’t miss trying all of the tasty traditional food and drink too.

4th International Film Festival & Awards . Macao
From 5-10 December, the 4th International Film Festival & Awards . Macao will be held, bringing together a selection of film makers from across the globe and delivering an exciting programme of international movies. Screening at Macao Cultural Centre, guests can enjoy works from first- and second-time directors, while international guests and industry get to explore the best new films from across Asia. Actress Ms. Carina Lau is a talent ambassador, while film director Peter Ho-Sun Chan is the Jury President and a brand new section: 20th Anniversary Macao Special Presentations, will also be hosted to celebrate this remarkable occasion.
