Spending time in Bali's fanciest family-friendly neighbourhood? You're never far from bright white sands at these delicious Nusa Dua restaurants!
One question I’m always asked is, where are the best places to eat in Nusa Dua? It’s a fair question. Most of the best restaurants here are tucked inside luxury resorts, which means they’re harder to find, and most visitors often default to their hotel restaurant rather than exploring the area properly.
The truth is, Nusa Dua has a really impressive dining scene, home to some of Bali’s most celebrated fine dining restaurants, as well as hidden gems on Jl Siligita. This guide covers all of it: the best standalone restaurants, the resort restaurants worth splashing out for, and the beach clubs where you can graze all day with your toes in the sand.
Why trust this guide
I lived in Nusa Dua for 5 years, so I know this beachside neighbourhood like the back of my hand. I’ve tried all the top restaurants in Nusa Dua, from the best restaurants in luxury hotels to the affordable roadside dinner spots that most visitors never find – all to bring you this shortlist of the very best. I’ve split it by vibe (date night, casual or fine dining) and also listed the must-try dishes, and my own personal tips and honest recommendations. If you have any suggestions on how I can improve this list, shoot me an email on louise@thehoneycombers.com – I’m always open to ideas!

Best Restaurants in Nusa Dua for Date Night
1. SIKI
Nusa Dua’s only beachfront Japanese restaurant, with a Nobu-trained chef and local Balinese ingredients.

I absolutely love Japanese food, so when SIKI opened on Nusa Dua’s beachfront, I had to check it out. What I found wasn’t a classic Japanese restaurant, but rather, an exceptional take on modern Japanese cuisine, given a Balinese twist. It’s a combination I haven’t found in Bali before.
Leading the kitchen is Chef Vincent Hiew, formerly of Nobu London and Nobu Tokyo, which explains the technical precision in every dish. That Japanese discipline is then shaped by local ingredients and Balinese character, reminding you exactly where you are.
I started with the signature Tri Taluh – a sous-vide egg delicately layered with caviar, roe and brioche. The Umami Kecombrang Chicken followed, blending Japanese technique with local torch ginger. Then the miso brûlée to finish, to really taste SIKI’s modern Japanese flair.
The setting is worth mentioning too. SIKI sits inside a sprawling beachfront compound with a ground-floor dining room, an open-air upper hall, a zen garden facing the ocean, and an intimate bar space. It’s very impressive, and oh-so easy to settle into for the evening.
Best for: Date nights, special occasions, and modern Japanese cuisine with a Balinese twist.
Local tip: For the full experience, try the multi-course Chef’s Tasting Menu – it’s exceptional value for what you’re served.
Good to know: SIKI also hosts an all-you-can-eat brunch every Sunday, featuring brunch classics with a Japanese-Balinese twist.
Must-try dishes: Tri Taluh, Umami Kecombrang Chicken, Miso Brûlée.
Price: IDR 600,000++ for the Chef’s Tasting Menu.
Address: ITDC Area, Lot No. C-0, Nusa Dua
Opening hours: Monday – Saturday from 5pm. Sunday from 11.30am – 3pm for brunch & 5pm – 11pm for dinner.
2. Art Cafe by Bumbu Bali
An authentic Balinese restaurant serving traditional Rijsttafel and Nasi Campur platters.

Art Cafe is from the same family behind the legendary Bumbu Bali restaurant and cooking school, and it shows. It’s a culinary, cultural and visual experience all under one roof, housed in a space that represents a traditional Balinese home.
This iteration is run by the son of the original, and he’s brought his own stamp to it. His photography lines the walls, honouring Balinese culture, surf and landscapes. The open kitchen then steals the spotlight, with fragrant smoke billowing from the grill, and chefs greeting you from behind the pans.
Decades of knowledge goes into every dish here. My recommendation is the Nasi Campur (choose from beef, pork, chicken, seafood or vegetarian), where a beautifully presented selection of the kitchen’s standouts are served around a bowl of rice (pictured above). It’s the best way to try it all.
If you’re coming with a group, go for the Rijsttafel. Art Cafe is one of few restaurants in Bali that still serves this Dutch-Indonesian feast, where plate after plate of shared dishes are served one after another. Note: this one needs to be ordered a day in advance.
Best for: Authentic Indonesian food and genuine Balinese hospitality.
Local tip: Don’t miss the Bali Sangria cocktail – it’s made with cinnamon and warm local spices.
Good to know: Bumbu Bali doubles up as a cooking school, if you’re looking for things to do in Nusa Dua.
Must-try dishes: The Rijsttafel, Nasi Campur.
Price: Mains start from IDR 140,000++
Address: Jl Pintas Siligita No. 101, Nusa Dua
Opening hours: Daily, 10am – 10pm
3. Nusa By/Suka
Rustic Mediterranean flavours, eco-chic design and shared plates for casual yet refined dining.

I found Nusa By/Suka completely by chance after a day of shopping at Bali Collection. It has since become my go-to for a Mediterranean feast in Nusa Dua. This casual yet refined restaurant stands out for its blend of eco-friendly designs and rustic charm, perfect for families, friends or a romantic date-night. The kitchen serves up handcrafted pastas, artisanal pizzas and wood-fired delights, all crafted with locally sourced ingredients. Pair your meal with a selection from their diverse drink menu, featuring handcrafted cocktails and international wines.
Best for: A shared Mediterranean feast for two, or a hungry crew.
Local tip: I’d recommend booking ahead as it gets quite busy here at dinner time.
Good to know: Service here is impeccable, so don’t hesitate to ask for recommendations.
Must-try dishes: Wood-Fired Cauliflower, Charcoal Half Chicken, MB9+ Wagyu Striploin Steak
Price: Large plates from IDR 110,000++
Address: Bali Collection, Jl Kawasan Nusa Dua Resort, Nusa Dua
Opening hours: Daily, 11am – 11pm
4. Tetaring Restaurant
Elevated Indonesian dining in a lush garden-setting, perfect for date night.

Blending Balinese tradition with modern innovation, Tetaring Restaurant is Nusa Dua’s crown jewel of Indonesian dining. It’s where you can feast on elevated local recipes in a sleek and stunning space. The concept is all about reimagining traditional Balinese gathering spaces, with a communal atmosphere in an oasis of lush greenery.
As soon as I stepped in, I was greeted by indigenous materials in every corner, all given a contemporary twist. And that’s what you can expect from the spectacular menu. A must-try is the signature crispy duck with aromatic lemongrass, and the Balinese pork ribs chargrilled to perfection. But my favourite had to be the Pecak Iga Bakar served with fragrant steamed rice, a delightful vegetable soup, crisp salad, and a spicy shallot and tomato sambal. It’s without doubt one of the most romantic destinations to get a true taste of ‘old Bali’.
Best for: Casual lunch date or romantic garden dinner.
Local tip: You’ll get a true taste of local flavours here, as Chef Denny draws inspiration from his childhood.
Good to know: Go for the large communal table if you’re sharing with the fam, or head to the garden if you’re bringing a date.
Must-try dishes: Bebek Goreng Nusa Dua, Pecak Iga Bakar
Price: Mains start from IDR 155,000++
Address: ITDC Area, Jl Nusa Dua, Benoa
Opening hours: Daily, 9am – 11pm
Best Fine Dining Restaurants for Special Occasions
5. Izakaya by OKU
A fine-dining take on a Japanese izakaya, with an open-kitchen and exquisite sushi in a luxury resort.

If the name sounds familiar, it’s because this is an outpost of the award-winning OKU Japanese Restaurant in Jakarta. Izakaya by OKU at The Apurva Kempinski brings all of the flagship’s finest creations to the island’s dynamic atmosphere that reinvents a typical izakaya.
Taking centre stage is the fab open-kitchen where all the actions take place, so I say, go for a seat at the counter where you’ll be front row. Then, it’s all about an array of elegant izakaya dishes and the finest sake selection. You can even go for a super spesh experience with the chef’s six-course OKU degustation menu.
Best for: Izakaya-inspired Japanese fine dining.
Local tip: Grab a bento for lunch or the omakase for dinner to really get a taste of the chef’s culinary skills.
Good to know: Weekend brunches come with free access to the resort’s pool and kids’ club.
Must-try dishes: Wagyu Gyoza, Katsu Curry, Salmon Skin Temaki

Address: Jl Raya Nusa Dua Selatan, Sawangan, Nusa Dua (inside The Apurva Kempinski Bali)
Opening hours: Daily, 12pm – 10.30pm
6. Kayuputi
Pan-Asian haute cuisine, impeccable wines and elegant interiors overlooking Nusa Dua Beach.

Kayuputi is one of Bali’s original fine dining restaurants, and it arguably kickstarted the island’s fine dining movement. I’ve lost count how many times I’ve dined here, and honestly, it gets better every time. The views alone are exemplary. The dining room (which is brilliantly white) looks out over Nusa Dua’s pristine beach. As for the menu, it’s inspired by Balinese wisdom, featuring fine local ingredients with a focus on pan-Asian haute cuisine.
The standouts for me were the coral trout carpaccio and the Wagyu beef, while my husband still talks about “the best seafood linguine” he’s ever tasted! And to top it all off, Kayuputi has won the prestigious Wine Spectator Award for fourteen consecutive years. So, don’t miss the Champagne Sunday brunch either…
Best for: Fine dining by the beach in an upscale resort ambiance.
Local tip: You have the option of an a la carte menu or degustation for both lunch and dinner.
Good to know: The Sunday brunch here is world-famous, and it begins with cocktails in the bright white bar.
Must-try dishes: “Sumberkima” Coral Trout Carpaccio, Seafood Linguine, Yuzu Soufflé
Price: Mains start from IDR 275,000++
Address: Kawasan Pariwisata Lot S6, Nusa Dua (inside The St. Regis Bali Resort)

Best Restaurants in Nusa Dua for Casual Dining
7. Ganzo Italian Restaurant
Homemade Italian pasta, pizza and heartfelt hospitality in a homey, welcoming setting.

Ganzo is a true hidden gem in Nusa Dua. It’s owned and run by Italians, so everything is homemade with love and cooked exactly as it should be. Don’t be fooled by its small size either. The menu is packed full of authentic flavours and crafted to perfection. I was thoroughly impressed by the pastas which are made from scratch, and the hand-tossed pizzas and homemade desserts. To complete my meal, I started with an aperitivo and washed everything down with a fine Italian wine. Friendly, attentive service and genuine Italian hospitality rounded off my dining experience at Ganzo.
Best for: Humble, rustic Italian food made from scratch.
Local tip: Flag down the owner who will happily tell you about the restaurant, and even give you a sample of the housemade limoncello.

8. Nusa Dua Beach Grill
Fuss-free beachfront BBQ and seafood with casual all-day favourites for a laid-back lunch.

If you’re after a laid-back spot to take your sandy feet and salty hair in the area, then head to Nusa Dua Beach Grill for some beachfront BBQ-ing. It’s where I frequently head to whenever I need a break from the up-market five-star restaurants. The theme here is ‘chill at the grill’ with an ocean breeze as company. The menu offers a selection of easy daytime fare, such as pizzas and pasta, delicious seafood, and Indonesian staples, alongside a solid list of cocktails and cold beers to boot.
Best for: Toes-in-the-sand seafood BBQ.
Local tip: It’s one of the more affordable restaurants in Nusa Dua, so it’s perfect for a casual lunch after a day at the beach.
Good to know: Seafood here is super fresh, caught locally every day.
Must-try dishes: Fish In Banana Leaf, Grilled Lobster, Seafood Tapas

Best Restaurants on the Beach in Nusa Dua
9. Manarai Beach House
A family-friendly beach club and restaurant with comfort food, fun vibes and poolside lounging.

A beach club and restaurant combo, Manarai Beach House is Nusa Dua’s family-friendly daytime destination. It’s got easy breezy island vibes and a paradisal panorama in fifty shades of blue.
I often settle in here and graze the day away on quintessential comfort food that’s been jazzed up to gourmet standards. Think sizzling satays, colourful salads and platters of sushi, rolled and topped with ocean delicacies. The whimsical cocktails are highly recommended too, or sip your way through fine wines from the temperature-controlled cellar.
Best for: Beachside dining with the family.
Local tip: The best time to take the kids here is on weekends, when they’ll enjoy a foam party by the pool.
Good to know: Manarai Beach House is located within the ITDC area, so there’s plenty of accessible parking spaces.
Must-try dishes: Linguine Vongole, Wagyu Beef Satay, Poke Bowl
Price: Large plates start from IDR 140,000++
Address: ITDC Complex Lot No. 5, Nusa Dua
Opening hours: Daily, 10am – 10pm
10. Soleil
A Mediterranean and Pan-Asian indoor restaurant with ocean views and Bali’s most famous Sunday brunch.

Soleil is the stunning, signature beachfront restaurant at Mulia Bali, overlooking the ocean and offering Mediterranean and Pan-Asian cuisine with influences from Indonesia, Vietnam, and Thailand. The Mulia’s array of food is as vast as their never-ending infinity pool, with a fantastic selection of premium meat, grilled seafood and endless other delicacies. But I come here on the regular for the famous Sunday brunch – it’s arguably the very best in Bali.
Best for: A lavish, international Sunday brunch.
Local tip: Don’t miss the Sunday Brunch at Soleil – it’s one of the most popular Sunday brunches in Bali.
Good to know: Soleil often has exclusive offers, like kid eats free deals and free-flow beverage packages.
Must-try dishes: Tuscan Seafood Stew, Grilled Swordfish Panini, Catch-of-the-Day
Address: Jl Raya Nusa Dua, Sawangan, Nusa Dua (inside The Mulia, Mulia Resort & Villas)
Opening hours: Daily, 11am – 11pm
11. Kulkul Beach House
Zero-waste beachfront restaurant serving sustainable dishes, creative cocktails and dazzling sea views.

Kulkul Beach House is an oceanfront venue with dazzling views. This chic destination sits beachfront at The Laguna Resort & Spa, and it follows a zero-waste concept, all with sustainably sourced ingredients and innovative cooking techniques.
From beef tartare toasties, to thin-crust pizzas and traditional local favourites, there’s plenty to graze on here. I also love the cocktail menu here. It features seaside creations like the Negritzer (a Negroni with sparkling wine), or the Swan Tini, a tropical take on the classic Martini. I recommend securing a stylish cabana beside the adults-only pool.
Best for: Beachfront dining in a resort atmosphere.
Local tip: The best time to visit is during lunch so you can soak in the sparkling sea views.
Good to know: The sun loungers and daybeds are complimentary for resort guests. An extra charge applies for outside guests.

12. Santai Beach House
Beachfront all-day restaurant with fresh seafood and laid-back ocean views.

I first visited Santai Beach House back in 2017 (yes, it’s one of the originals in the area!), but I recently went back, because it’s had a total revamp with a fresh new menu. There are mostly Mediterranean and Balinese dishes to choose from, which perfectly suit the setting, as this restaurant sits right on the beachfront.
It’s located a little further down the Nusa Dua coastline in Tanjung Benoa, but it’s worth heading out of town for, as it offers a quieter vibe, away from the bustling resort area. There’s even loungers and beanbags on the lawn in front (pictured above), perfect for a day in the sunshine.
As for the menu, there’s tuna crudo, burrata, a chicken caesar salad and plenty of sandwiches, burgers and pizzas. Whatever you choose, everything is made for leisurely grazing by the sea, and every dish is bold, fresh, and locally inspired.
Best for: All day dining by the beach, away from the busy resort area.
Local tip: Try the Balinese arak flight for something truly local.

Address: Jl Pratama, Tanjung Benoa, Nusa Dua (inside Sadara Resort)
Opening hours: Daily, 7am – 11pm
13. Le Bleu
A luxe beachfront restaurant and bar with serving refined seafood and Mediterranean cuisine.

The hottest new beachfront spot in Nusa Dua, Le Bleu by K Club is as chic as its private beach setting. Serving up breezy vibes, ocean views, and a refined menu of the freshest seafood and Mediterranean-inspired dishes, you could easily spend an entire day here. In fact, I did exactly that!
I grabbed a plush, sun-soaked lounge and nibbled on a table-full of starters. Trust me, the seared Hokkaido scallops and clams are a must-try. But the real showstopper? The signature blue risotto, made with butterfly pea flower and coconut, topped with perfectly grilled slipper lobster. It goes without saying, a few rounds of signature cocktails complete the picture.
Best for: Dining right on the beach, with the ocean just footsteps away.
Local tip: Swing by on a Sunday for its weekly gathering event, with DJ sets and dance shows.
Good to know: Le Bleu is part of the K Club Group and has been featured on Marie Claire.
