It’s big, it’s beefy, and it’s downright delicious. The new Beef Selection menu at SugarSand brings Australian steaks to Bali.
Carnivores, cavemen, and beef connoisseurs – form an orderly line! We all know how hard it is to find a really good steak in Bali, so SugarSand in Seminyak is answering all of our beefy prayers with the launch of its brand new menu, dedicated to the finest steaks around. *insert drool sounds here*
Yup, SugarSand has brought out all the stops to bring us some of the best beef steaks in Bali – and so much more. Not only cooking up the finest cuts around (all imported from Australia, no less) the meat is handled and prepared in the best way possible: chargrilled to your liking over local coffee and lychee wood. The result? Melt-in-your-mouth morsels of top-notch sirloin, rib fillets and even enormous Tomahawks, ranging from 250g of 100-day grain-fed Angus, to 1kg of 200-day grain-fed Black Angus.
You can then match these chunky hunks with delish sides and sauces, like chargrilled baby carrots with a red pepper dressing, or creamy cauliflower baked with cheddar, parmesan and breadcrumbs. As for the sauces, choose from a peppercorn jus, brown butter béarnaise, Chimichurri, or House BBQ – and to top it all off, with every steak purchase you’ll get a 15% discount on selected bottles of wine, too!
The meaty details
All of the beef on SugarSand’s new steak menu is imported from two acclaimed farms: Kilcoy Farm in Queensland (just north of Brisbane) and Stockyard Farm in Darling Downs, South-East Queensland. All of the beef is grain-fed and carefully mixed with grass from the pastures, balancing out their diet, and their flavour.
You see, by mixing the cattle’s diet with both grains and grass, the cows receive a more balanced diet – and of course, a balanced diet means a more consistent quality. Not only that, but the beef farmers can actually influence the final flavour of the beef, based on the ratio of grass and grains they feed. Grain-fed beef generally has more fat than grass-fed beef, giving it a more rich and buttery flavour, and a ‘melt in your mouth’ texture, so the farmers can tweak and perfect the flavour until it’s just right.
Hungry for more? Head to SugarSand and try it for yourself – it’s truly moo-uth watering!
