Let’s be honest – Valentine’s Day dinner is an expensive affair. Thinking of proposing? At just $9,999, you get to dine on The Stamford’s helipad (pictured above) on a 12 courser, get your flowers bought (all 99 of them), and even get those diamonds shined (there’s a jewellery set with a diamond necklace, earrings, and bracelet worth $5300). You even have a one-night stay in the hotel and a couple spa treatment!
But since we don’t all have 10 grand to lavish on the big day, here are our favourite (and more affordable) deals in Singapore.

If upscale isn’t your thing but you believe that in the language of love, head to the casual Casa Verde for unpretentious Italian fare. We love that their featured aphrodisiac isn’t common on other Valentine’s Day menus – lovebirds, meet the humble (and healthy) fig. Work your way through the prixe fixe menu with Italian recipes like salad in fig vignetto served with fresh fig, parma ham, and bufala. Call 6467 7326 for reservations.</em.
