Tell us your story, how did you get here?
My mum first introduced me to the world of fashion at a young age. I was tiptoeing in her heels and sneaking swatches of her lipsticks for as far back as I can remember. Dressing up has been my cardio ever since. In my teens, I lived in Australia and the four seasons made me realise my love for winter wear and tailoring. This was when I really got to experiment with my personal style.
At the beginning of the social media era, I truly got lucky with some dream collaborations and shout-outs (this blog post from Vanessa Hudgens still makes me pinch myself), and I’ve been riding the wave since. Every day, I feel blessed to be doing what I absolutely love and find joy in. I also started pursuing my passion for art sometime last year.
What impact have you made in Singapore?
What does 2022 look like for you?
Interestingly, I’d like 2022 to be a year of rest. I want to prioritise slowing down and focus on spending more time with family and taking care of myself. I’m still working on a back-to-back schedule but I make sure to switch off over the weekend and give myself much-needed breaks.
What do you love most about Singapore?
I love that Singapore is a beautiful green city with lush gardens and parks. The Botanic Gardens has to be one of my favourite spots in Singapore and I enjoy retreating to nature whenever I can. Plus, Singapore is such a safe country and you really do feel at home at all times.
What’s the one thing you’d wear for the rest of your life?
Definitely a well-tailored suit.
Who is your Local Legend, and why?
I have to say this city is full of inspiring individuals, from every industry ranging from food to fashion, so it’s honestly hard to pinpoint just one person.
