CEO of Re:Erth

I have an absolutely incredible and dedicated team and partners. I believe we've made several impacts in Singapore and the beauty market as a whole.
Tell us your story, how did you get here?
I’m born and raised in Tokyo. I obtained my undergraduate degree in the US, followed by a graduate degree in the UK. After working for a few years in the major cities of New York, London and Tokyo, I joined my family business, which owns several distributorships for international health and beauty brands. In 2017, I started RE:ERTH skincare together with partners in Singapore, and we launched in October that year!
What impact have you made in Singapore?
I can’t take sole responsibility for this as I have an absolutely incredible and dedicated team and partners. I believe we’ve made several impacts in Singapore and the beauty market as a whole.
We have a very different approach to skincare. It revolves around our philosophy of emphasising overall skin health through the use of scientifically backed and well-researched nature-derived ingredients, as well as cutting-edge skincare technologies. We’re also leading the way in sustainability and renewables through our robust plastics recycling program, and agricultural initiatives from the farming of our patented turmerics to our Rice Farm program.
What does 2022 look like for you?
As we come out of this pandemic (fingers crossed), we’re really looking to continue to emphasise our customers’ experience, as well as push forward our expansion plans into other markets.
What do you love most about Singapore?
I get asked this quite often, but it’s really quite hard! In the beginning, I’d say it’s the food, or the atmosphere, or the fact that it’s a very convenient hub for travel. However, as the years go by, the thing I love most about Singapore is the connections I’ve made with people.
What’s the one product you can’t live without?
Our Multi-Targeted Elixir! It gives great results and it’s so easy to use, so I’ve been using it every day ever since we started developing the product years ago.
Who is your Local Legend, and why?
Sergeant Kiang, because he’s the man behind the famous Chatterbox chicken rice.
