Other live music performances include Pentatonix, KC and The Sunshine Band, and many more from 16 to 18 September at Marina Bay
F1 fans, start your engines! The Singapore GP season is already zooming its way here, and the high-octane hype is definitely getting as hot as burning asphalt. The races – the only night race in the world – once again returns to the Marina Bay circuit from 16 to 18 September, catering to all sorts of fans from the manic motorheads to the curious windowgazer. Aside from the fast cars and charismatic drivers (Vettel ftw), the Singapore Grand Prix is always regarded as one of the biggest events of the year with a bevy of fringe activities, glitzy parties, and some of the greatest live music acts that the world has to offer. On stage, they’re pulling out all the stops – music entertainment fit for royalty.
How royal? How about Queen for starters? Yes, you read that correctly; we’re talking about THE Queen, the glam-rock legends made famous by guitarist Brian May and the late Freddie Mercury. Not only will the remaining members of Queen be here to wallop us with a Bohemian Rhapsody, but they’ll be doing so with the explosive backup of the one and only Adam Lambert. How’s that for a double dose of star power? Come 17 September at the Padang Stage, they will rock you.

But these aren’t the only icons in tow. Pop siren Kylie Minogue (16 September, Padang Stage) will be swinging by with timeless hits like “Love At First Sight”, “The Locomotion”, and “Cant Get You Out Of My Head” – she’s still got it, if you ask us! And disco titans, KC and The Sunshine Band (16-17 September), will get us jiving back to the ’70s with anthems like “That’s The Way (I Like It)”.
Other big international acts recently announced include polished indie-rockers, Bastille (17 September, Padang Stage), best known for their hit “Pompeii” and Dan Smith’s soaring, melodramatic vocals; and acapella outfit, Pentatonix (17-18 September) with their tight harmonies and punchy beat-boxing.
More to be announced, so stay stoked!
