Best believe it, these dogs probably have more followers than you on Instagram. Better start raising your social media game!
They’re cute, they are famous, they have birthday parties with cake and all, they hang out at cool cafes, and these dogs sure are living the life. The dog life, that is! To celebrate the Year of the Dog, we check out the feeds and the Klout of some of Singapore’s top canines on Instagram!
While most pets and dogs are good at looking cute and pretty for the ‘gram, Plato the French bulldog is a muse to his family, and there’s even a book about him! You can get Plato and The Missing Bed from select bookstores around town. His feed is full of pictures of him hanging out with his human siblings, looking happy. Awww…
The resident dog of our fave Telok Ayer cafe Free The Robot, Baileys is a gentle (and little) Jack Russell and Chihuahua mix we often encounter while getting our coffee. He’s known to poke his head out of the cafe window, and don’t be surprised if this friendly guy will greet you with a lick while you’re waiting for your latte. He also has a brother, who’s next on the list…
Brother (via adoptive parents) of Baileys, Archie is that handsome Shiba Inu we see prancing around Telok Ayer. Archie can sometimes be aloof new faces and strangers, but because he’s such a looker, we forgive him. Check out Baileys and Archie’s Instagram feeds for cute photos of the two on their walkabouts, in costumes, and funny videos with their owner.
To be honest, we’re pretty jealous of the jet-setting life of this Pomeranian. The local floofer recently moved to New York and has also travelled to Canada and some other places. Who wouldn’t bring him along on their trips? I mean, look at those eyes…
One thing’s for sure, this is one photogenic dog. Then again, most Shetland sheepdogs aka Shelties are. He was almost given up for adoption to the SPCA at age two, but thankfully his current owners took him under their wing. Mango enjoys his playdates with other dogs and adventures outdoors, and he also lives with three cats in a household.
Need some corgis on this list? Yup, we’ve got your back. This handsome fellow enjoys dressing up for the camera quite a bit and seems to have tonnes of props and costumes. He also has a posse, has yearly birthday parties and swimming dates. What a life, Oscar.
If you have seen the ads for uberPET, you might recognise this little one. Pugworth the dog is also a model, on top of being a happy-go-lucky pug who drools too much, snores in his sleep, farts, and also loves going for runs. We’ve got an all-rounder here!
