Learning my skin’s needs
When I first rolled up to Skin Laundry, the team had me fill out the usual new client form before getting down to business. They started out by giving me a micellar wipe to get rid of makeup and grime, too – gotta prep the canvas before you paint, right?
Then came the AI-powered Skin Imaging Analysis. My aesthetician went through the results with me step-by-step, pointing out problem areas like wrinkles, skin sensitivity, discolouration, and clogged pores. She also gave me some really helpful tips, tailored to my skin type and lifestyle habits. I loved how she took the time to educate me on what’s going on beneath the surface – and her advice definitely levelled up my skincare game. Once my skin was squeaky clean and I was armed with skin intel, it was time for the main event – bring on the lasers!
Zap away the impurities
Once I was all cosy in the chair, it was time to zap away! The aesthetician took “before” pics, so that we could spot the results. She gave me a heads up that I’d smell a slight burning during the treatment, in addition to feeling some warm and tingling sensations. But, she reassured me that it wouldn’t be painful – it’s just the laser doing its work. She also explained that the treatment would target deep-down dirt and impurities so, the more gunk to demolish, the stronger the odour. She then customised the laser’s intensity based on my skin’s sensitivity and went over the problem zones four times as needed. Surprisingly, I emerged with a radiant complexion, not red and irritated – proof that those beams were hard at work but still gentle!
After the treatment, my skin was feeling great. But, to make sure I got the best glow possible, my aesthetician applied a hydrating hyaluronic acid serum to further nourish and cool my skin. She also used a Hydro-cool machine to help the serum penetrate deeper. I could tell this combo of serums and cooling really amped up that freshly laser-treated radiance. My skin looked plump, smooth, and completely luminous walking out. With no downtime required, I was pleasantly surprised! I’m now hooked on these laser facials and how they transform my skin without irritation. Trust me: I can’t wait for my next appointment to keep chasing that glow.
