Hong Kong is a city that will always keep you busy, even if you just want to sit down and have a home cooked meal, so why not give Nosh's healthy meal plan options a try?
Sometimes it’s hard to maintain a healthy diet living in this bustling city. That’s why we’re big fans of these fresh food delivery and meal delivery services like The Raw Circus, they’re such a big help! Nosh food delivery reminds us to choose wisely when it comes to what we put in our body. Loving the idea of that, we sampled their Asian menu and Western meal plan to see if they’ve lived up to our expectation.
Nosh food delivery: Western vs Asian
We were lucky enough to try both the Western meal plan menu and the Asian meal plan menu from Nosh, and on an early Monday morning, we had two black insulated bags delivered to our office – #convenient.
Breakfast
For breakfast, in the Western menu, Nosh served a Kale, Sweet Potato and Onion Frittata. Though it didn’t contain enough seasoning for my liking, it was incredibly sweet and felt immediately very healthy, which was definitely due to the large amounts of sweet potato. The Stir-Fried Noodles with Sweet Soy Sauce in the Asian menu was lightly fried with oil and had just the right amount of savoury and sweet flavours that kept me going back for more.

Lunch
The Western menu’s Red Wine Sauce with Beef, Roasted Veggies & Quinoa was a filling option for lunch. The beef was slightly savoury but tender, the vegetables were soft, both cooked just right, while the quinoa added texture to the meal. For the Asian lunch meal, we tasted the Chicken with Balsamic Yuzu Sauce, Stir-fried Spinach with Minced Garlic and Brown Rice. The chicken was tender, though the spinach appeared slightly overcooked, and the brown rice was a little bland but definitely healthy and filling.

Dinner
Later for dinner, the Western menu served up Zaatar Marinated Free Range Chicken Breast with Warm White Bean Feta Salad & Pan Roasted Cumin Cauliflower which was a clear favourite among the team. The seasoning and flavours were so tasty and delicious we actually wanted a double portion. Three-cup Beef Rib, Okra with Ginger Sauce and Mixed Grain on the Asian menu was light and filling. The beef was soft while the okra combined with the ginger sauce was healthy and fresh.

So, the overall winner for us was the Western meal plan menu.
While we love trying new things, sometimes old classics win out. But whichever meal plan you go for, they come completely prepared, are delivered to your door or office and are made with healthy fresh ingredients (there is even a veggie option coming soon!) – just remember to have access to a fridge to store your meals throughout the day, and a microwave to heat them up when you’re ready to eat.
