With its buzzing atmosphere, friendly staff and unique cocktails, Lobster Bar and Grill is the perfect spot to unwind.
There’s a reason that Lobster Bar and Grill has been on the Asia’s 50 Best Bars list for three years running. Hidden away at Island Shangri-La in the heart of Hong Kong, this stylish bar and restaurant blends classic interior design with innovative cocktails, live music, and an outdoor terrace complete with sweeping views of the city skyline.

Thought goes into absolutely everything at Lobster Bar and Grill, and the cocktail menu itself has been inspired directly from the pages of the James Hilton novel Lost Horizon. Divided into four sections – British Influence, Oriental Tales, Chinese Heritage and Heaven on Earth, pick your favourite and sit back as bar manager Bob Louison and his team of cocktailians craft your drink by hand.
Tea lovers will want to try the Good Afternoon, a blend of Beefeater Gin, Pimm’s, Campari, English Breakfast tea syrup and an egg white served in a tea cup and best enjoyed with pinkies up. We are also big fans of the Rice Fashioned, a Lobster Bar and Grill twist on the classic Old Fashioned. Mixing Michter’s Bourbon, toasted rice, brown sugar, pink salt and chocolate bitter, this heavenly drop has a lovely chocolatey finish that we can’t get enough of.
Music sets the scene
If atmosphere is important to you, then this is definitely the place to be. Every Monday through Saturday, a live band takes to the floor to bring you a number of great tunes to enjoy as you sip on your drinks and relax with friends. Attracting a range of after-work clientele along with in-house guests, every evening at Lobster Bar and Grill is a unique night out.
Be sure to get there by 9pm so you can grab a table to enjoy the music, and if you’re feeling peckish, the bar menu has a range of tasty nibbles to hit the spot, including the renowned Lobster and Seafood Platter that is made for sharing.
