At Hong Kong 101 in partnership with HSBC Expat, we made networking a whole lot more useful and entertaining
We had such a good time at Hong Kong 101 in partnership with HSBC Expat! On 6 November, over 100 people gathered at Mudita in Central for a night of wellness and travel inspiration, networking, and even a mini trivia quiz. If you made it along, thanks for coming, and see if you can spot yourself in the pics below; if not, take a look at what we got up to.

Sharing is caring
Our Editor, Sophie Cullen kicked things off by sharing some of her top tips for living a great life in Hong Kong before Nikki Pang from Lightfoot Travel gave us the lowdown on trending travel destinations for 2020. Guests made their way into different groups and tensions ran high as the 10 teams battled it out to see who would win the travel trivia quiz. Team Whiteboard came out on top, with each member taking home a lovely bottle of vino courtesy of Wine Moments, along with the coveted title of ‘Travel Trivia Winners’.
Beth Wright from B-Fit and Fabulous had the full attention of the audience as she broke down some simple tips for living a more balanced life in Hong Kong, teaching us about the importance of sleep and of choosing exercise that you actually enjoy doing. She also handed out Clockenflap tickets to one lucky winner as a reminder to get out and do the things you enjoy while living in The 852.
The team from HSBC Expat was on the ground to answer to answer any finance-related questions that guests had during the networking sessions that took place across the evening. Delicious canapes from DiVino Patio filled the post-work hunger pangs, as we enjoyed a range of cocktails designed by the team at Mudita along with a selection of beer from Moonzen Brewery.
To end the evening, we gave away three beautiful pieces of luggage from Lojel before drawing the winner of Lightfoot Travel’s grand prize of a night for two people at Sofitel Luang Prabang, Laos. Then, everyone went home with a goodie bag jam-packed full of loot, including a travel wallet from Lojel, bath products from Bathe to Basics, Hong Kong goodies from The Lion Rock Press, classes from WeBarre, and a Hong Kong 101 booklet created by HSBC Expat that shares a whole lot more info on living your best life in Hong Kong.
We had so much fun meeting everyone who came along to Hong Kong 101, and we have all of the photos saved over here on Facebook, so be sure to check them out. Also, if you haven’t already, sign up to our newsletter so that you can keep up-to-date with upcoming events, news and lifestyles happenings in Hong Kong.
