About the artists
San Po Konger is a renowned musical collective that brings together different players for each performance. This time, veterans Henry Chung (harmonica), Vincent Lam (guitar), and Ram Cheung (guitar) will reunite on stage for the first time in nearly two decades. Their chemistry and friendship – forged under the mentorship of legendary blues guitarist Mr Tommy Chung – are sure to shine through as the trio deliver hard-hitting blues grooves that promise to get everyone in the room jumping, jiving, and shaking.
Originally from Portland, Oregon, Kevin Guffy has shared the stage with notable musicians such as bassist John Mazzocco and jazz fusion pioneer Jim Pepper. Since relocating to Hong Kong in 2006, the guitarist and vocalist has made a name as a top solo act, as well as playing with various bands and teaching aspiring musicians. Guffy’s rich musical journey culminates in the blend of jazz and blues influences you’ll hear today. For this show, he’ll be joined by Chiin-Zhe on bass and Portuguese drumming legend Carlos Veira.
