Presented in collaboration with Jazz at Lincoln Center, Premiere Performances Jazz spotlights the multi-faceted talent of Emmy-nominated Benny Benack III, whose artistry earned him the title Rising Star Male Vocalist in the 2025 Downbeat Readers Poll and placed him among the top 10 Rising Star Trumpeters.
As a bandleader, trumpet soloist, and vocalist, Benack has toured internationally and collaborated with renowned artists such as Grammy Award-winning musicians Christian McBride and Ulysses Owens Jr, and Broadway and jazz singer Ann Hampton Callaway. He has also performed as a guest artist with the Pittsburgh Symphony Pops Orchestra, the Columbus Jazz Orchestra and the Minsk Philharmonic Orchestra.
This showcase event features Benny Benack III on trumpet and vocals, Joe Peri on drums, Caleb Tobocman on bass, and Jon Thomas on piano – a compelling combination that promises a night to remember.
