Although the original Oktoberfest in Bavaria has been cancelled this year (boo), there’s still an excuse to grab a pint (if you even need one!) Following the success of Oktoberfest at BaseHall last year, the event is making its comeback on October 9, with family-friendly events during the day and a party for beer-drinkers at night.
Daytime fun for the fam
From 11am to 4pm, a variety of family-friendly activities will be available at BaseHall. Get hands-on with cookie decorating, ring toss, and face painting.
Evening antics for the gang
Starting from 5pm, BaseHall will be transformed into a traditional Bavarian beer tent: the ultimate Oktoberfest resplendent with beer, German-inspired snacks, and traditional games. Young Master Ales will be brewing their exclusive “Young Master Festbier” for the night, in addition to the Oktoberfest requisites of schnapps, Bavarian Weisswurst, and Obatzda with Pretzel. Each of BaseHall’s eight vendors has also created Oktoberfest-inspired dishes to celebrate.
Staying true to the raucous (we mean fun, really) nature of Oktoberfest, a live DJ and Oompah band will be entertaining the crowds throughout the night, bringing classic Munich beerhall tunes, sing-alongs, and chants to the occasion. Plus, a traditional tapping of the cask ceremony will take place at 7pm. Games with fantastic prizes, as well as limited beer casks, are up for grabs, too. Don’t miss out!
