Music has the power to move the senses and transform emotions. Over the past decade, Champion REIT’s art project, the Musica del Cuore concert series, has brought exhilarating performances to Three Garden Road, a landmark in Central, Hong Kong. As 2025 unfolds, Musica del Cuore celebrates its 10th anniversary, marking not only a significant milestone but also a new beginning. Since 2015, the series has supported the development of countless young musicians and promoted the transmission and appreciation of classical music. This year’s theme, “Beyond Senses”, underlines the profound impact of music.
The centenary celebrations will begin with an opening concert on 10 January, featuring a duo performance by cellist Siwon Park and pianist Helen Cha. Born in Seoul, South Korea, Siwon Park won the Artist International Competition in 1997 and is a graduate of both the Juilliard School and the Manhattan School of Music. Currently a member of the Hong Kong Sinfonietta, she is affectionately known as “big sister” among ensemble members. Helen Cha, one of Hong Kong’s youngest doctoral pianists, became the first local student to obtain fellowship (with distinction) from the Royal Schools of Music at age 19. Recognised as a prodigy in music education, she began teaching at the age of 22 and has served as a judge for numerous public competitions.
Musica del Cuore is held on the second Friday of every month from 1pm to 1.45pm in Three Garden Road, Central. Open to the public free of charge, the series offers an unparalleled classical music experience while showcasing Three Garden Road’s role as a cultural and wellness hub. Over the past decade, the series has provided a platform for young musicians to shine and has engaged audiences with insightful programme interpretations, enhancing their appreciation of classical music. Whether you are a busy professional or a passionate music lover, these concerts promise to bring joy and inspiration through the transformative power of music.
