Attention, football fans! HKFC Standard Chartered Soccer Sevens is returning in May! Look forward to an action-packed weekend showcasing top-tier talent, where last year’s champions, Brighton & Hove Albion, are back to defend their title, joined by esteemed Premier League clubs such as Aston Villa, West Ham United, and Leicester City. Local favorites like the BC Rangers and Yau Yee League Select will be joining at various matches. This year also brings exciting first-time participants, like AZ Alkmaar, Western United, Larne FC, and Macau FA!
The Women’s Tournament will also be returning for its second year, expanding to an even larger scale after its successful 2024 debut. Wrexham AFC Women will headline the six-team lineup, marking a historic moment as one of the first overseas-based women’s teams to compete at Sports Road. They’ll be joined by Chonburi FC Women from Thailand and Eastern Thunder from Singapore, both making their inaugural appearances at the event. Local powerhouses TSL FC, Kitchee, and Hong Kong Football Club will also vie for the trophy, promising a thrilling competition.
The Masters Tournament will feature returning teams like Singapore Football Club Masters, last year’s runners-up, and past champions Wallsend Boys Club HK, alongside Ampcontrol Discovery Bay. The competition will be rounded out by HKFC Masters, HKFC Chairman’s Select, Singapore Cricket Club Masters, the Yau Yee League All Stars, and KCC Vets, creating a packed eight-team field full of intense rivalry.
Beyond the captivating football action, the event offers a vibrant atmosphere with food, drinks, interactive games, and more, ensuring a memorable weekend for the entire family.
