Breast cancer affects thousands of individuals every year as one of the most common cancers in the world. In the month of October, organisations and communities around the world come together to raise awareness and show support for those with the disease. Breast Cancer Awareness Month events in Hong Kong
1. Pink Walk 2023
The Pink Walk is making a comeback to The Peak in 2023 on 15 October. Enrol as an individual, a small team, or on behalf of your corporation or school to show your support for the cause. Goodie bags and prizes will be available for winners of the “Top Fundraiser Award”, “Highest Participation Award”, and “Best-dressed Pink Award”. Donations will go to the Hong Kong Breast Cancer Foundation for breast cancer education, holistic support, research, and advocacy. Pets are welcome to make the walk with you too, so grab your four-legged pal and come decked out in pink!

2. Hong Kong Cancer Fund: Pink Revolution

Since 2000, Hong Kong Cancer Fund has been hosting the Pink Revolution to raise awareness for breast health and support those who are affected. This year, expect a series of events in October to highlight the need for women to conduct regular checkups. With the slogan “No Matter What Size You Are, Check Regularly”, Hong Kong Cancer Fund aims to raise three million dollars this year to sustain free breast cancer care services. The Pink Revolution campaign designates 27 October as “Dress Pink Day”, during which you can dress up in pink to raise awareness. You can also organise a DIY fundraising gathering on that day to raise proceeds to sponsor Pink Recovery Packs for breast cancer patients after surgery.
Additionally, during the Pink Revolution, you can participate in the “Shop For Good” scheme. Merchants like Pizza Express, Zojirushi, Conrad Hong Kong, and more are offering limited-edition items to raise money for the Cancer Fund’s work in supporting free breast cancer care services and local research.

3. Conrad Hong Kong: “Love of Pink” afternoon tea

In partnership with the Cancer Fund’s Pink Revolution, Conrad Hong Kong is launching the “Love of Pink” afternoon tea promotion. Sweet and savoury treats created by Pastry Chef Ason Kan will present a memorable gastronomic and Instagram-worthy experience, where part of the proceeds will go to the Cancer Fund’s awareness and care campaigns. Delight in Foie Gras Mousse with Strawberry, Marinated Crab Meat with Watermelon, Mini Raspberry Eclairs, and more. 4. Four Seasons Hong Kong: “Pretty in Pink” dining experience

Honour Breast Cancer Awareness Month at the Four Seasons Hong Kong, where The Lounge is unveiling the “Pretty in Pink” dining experience from 6 to 16 October. Indulge in a four-course dinner or a whimsical afternoon tea set, which are both pink-themed and meticulously designed by Executive Chef Maxime Luvara and Executive Pastry Chef Ringo Chan. Additionally, 10% of the proceeds from both menus will be donated to the Hong Kong Breast Cancer Foundation. This partnership focuses on raising awareness and providing assistance to patients. 5. The Daily Tot: Ladies who Pink (Vol 3) – Fight like a Girl

For the third year in a row, The Daily Tot is welcoming a group of sensational women for the Ladies who Pink – Fight like a Girl event. On 26 October, Imelda Ng from Interval bar; Delphine Kong from Campari; Nicole Slater from The Pontiac and Ponty Cafe; Yvonne Chan from Argo; Jade Lau from Pernod Ricard; Taki Li from Bar Leone; Sarah Vee from Women of Hong Kong; and Tiana Ludhani, Co-founder of Singular Concepts will grace the beloved neighbourhood bar. Together, these women will shake up eight amazing rum cocktails to support Breast Cancer Awareness Month. A portion of the proceeds will go to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. 6. Barkada x The Pontiac x Ponty Cafe: Save the Tatas

Watch out! The vibrant Filipino eatery Barkada is being taken over by the ladies from The Pontiac and Ponty Cafe from 10 to 11 October for Breast Cancer Awareness Month in Hong Kong. Beckaly Franks and Jen Queen will join Barkada’s co-founder Jen Balisi to create Filipino-inspired Western classics, such as the Ube Biscuit Bread Pudding and Pulled Pork Bistek Biscuit. Expect classic Pontiac cocktails, as well as special tipples like the Ube-Bay cocktail and Kapé Martini.
