Sure, we’ve all heard of co-working spaces but a co-baking space? BakeBe is the first of its kind in Hong Kong and you never have to worry about lagging behind or the instructor not giving you enough attention. The steps are all taught via the BakeBe App! Bake the prettiest cakes, cookies, cupcakes, and more – ranging in five levels of difficulty. A maximum of two people can take on one project – with a peer charge of 30%. It’s better to book in advance than to walk-in (gotta make sure you’ll get a spot). All ingredients and tools are provided at BakeBe.

2. Lazy Baking Studio

You know when you see the trendiest, prettiest cakes on social media and you have an itch to recreate it? Lazy Baking Studio’s instructors will guide you through every step in perfecting your own signature buttercream goodness! Other classes include peanut butter and salted caramel cupcakes and bridal shower cupcakes (this is a private class).

3. The Little Kitchen

Dish out some gourmet-looking cakes and desserts at this homey baking studio in Yau Ma Tei. A mirror glaze cake may look and sound intriguing but the well-experienced instructors at The Little Kitchen are here to lend a helping hand. The low-sugar Korean buttercream cake is almost too pretty to devour – and we can’t help but think how gorgeous these will be at bridal showers! If you prefer smaller, more delicate bites, you can sign up to bake macarons, tarts, Chinese lotus puff pastry, and more!

4. Bake It Easy
Kids will particularly enjoy baking it out at this studio as no idea is too far fetched to bring to life! Decorate your buttercream cakes with your favourite figurines and objects and you can even spruce it up with LED lights. You can also make your own smash cakes and we know kids love them! Oh, and go ham on that drip (y’know the trend that’s everywhere on social media). Following the concept of a co-baking space, you will be given a tablet to follow instructions and all ingredients are provided.

5. Twinkle Garden

Piping, piping, piping! It’s not only one of the most satisfying processes of baking but it’s also where you get to experiment with techniques. Korean flower piping may not be the easiest but it’s worth all the effort – the masterpiece at the end looks so classy and exquisite! At Twinkle Garden you can master the arts of buttercream frosting and wafer flower piping to create realistic looking edible flowers. You can sign up for either a group class or private class. Private classes are slightly more expensive but it’s one-on-one and offers greater flexibility in timing.

6. Little Miss Macaron

Founder Anita’s baking journey started off when her husband gave her a hand-mixer for Christmas back in 2009. From opening her own bakery to now hosting her own baking classes, Anita loves sharing her love for baking at Little Miss Macarons. There are many ideas you can use to decorate your macarons – draw a cute snowflake or stick a nose and two eyes to transform it into your favourite animal. Place your delicate macarons on a tower or as decoration on top of cakes and voila! You can pat yourself on the back for all the work!

7. ABC Cooking Studio

In business since 1985, ABC Cooking Studio originated in Shizuoka, Japan and has expanded to 15 countries in Asia. Courses teach you how to craft traditional Japanese sweets called wagashi and basic classes on cakes, macarons, tarts, and crepes. They also offer cooking classes for those opting for savoury bites. Lessons operate with a maximum of four people per class to ensure support is provided to all those attending.
