
Well-loved Irish pub and restaurant McSorley's Ale House has recently reopened in SoHo, Central, serving up whiskey, craft beer, pub food and a selection of Indian dishes
Whether you enjoy a happy hour, trying some of the best bars in Asia or snapping pictures of Insta-worthy cocktails, there’s always a new bar or pub popping up in Hong Kong. Recently, local favourite McSorley’s Ale House – an Irish pub and restaurant – reopened in Central, Hong Kong with a new look and a new menu featuring whiskey, craft beer, pub food and even an Indian menu.
McSorley’s Ale House returns to SoHo in Hong Kong

With sister outlets in Macau and Discovery Bay, one of Hong Kong’s favourite Irish pubs McSorley’s Ale House has recently reopened in Central, Hong Kong. Located in SoHo on Staunton Street, the new bar serves a selection of over 40 Irish whiskies and whiskeys, some of which are exclusive to the venue.
Guests can enjoy a classic pint of Guinness or imported McSorley’s Ale when they visit. Eight craft beers from New Zealand, UK, Australia, Germany and Spain are also available, along with a selection of wines and spirits.
Pub food and an Indian menu

The food menu is all about hearty goodness and includes the likes of Curry Chips; Savoury Steak, Stilton and Guinness Pie; Premium Hand-Crafted Angus Burger; and an All-Day Breakfast.
In addition to the pub classics, guests can opt to choose from the Indian menu that features ten different curries, such as Signature Chicken Tikka Masala; Lamb Rogan Josh or Aloo Gobi. McSorley’s also puts a twist on its samosas by offering either vegetable or keema lamb options.
Live sport from every table
Spread over two floors, the pub is casual and unpretentious with the interior featuring a range of woodwork and brass to channel a classic Irish drinking house. Sports fans will love the nine televisions that show all major sporting events live, with views from every seat. And don’t miss the daily Happy Hour from 3-8pm!
