Drinks, dancing, giveaways, networking, laughter and lots of chat went down at our 2nd birthday party at Mudita. Here's a recap!
For two years now, we’ve been filling you in on the coolest neighbourhoods, like Sheung Wan, Mong Kok and Lei Yue Mun; giving you the realest food advice – you’ve got to check out our piece on the best meals of 2018; and discovering some amazing travel destinations that are a little off the beaten path (North of Mauritius, anyone?!), yet still totally doable from HK. To celebrate, last week we threw a little party for our nearest and dearest to say a HUGE thank you for all the support. If you couldn’t make it, here’s what went down at the Honeycombers Hong Kong 2nd birthday party.
Our 2nd birthday party – a quick review
When guests arrived at the fabulous Mudita in Central, they were treated to whisky sours from Taisteal, a Milestone Beverages brand, on arrival. Atilius prosecco was flowing throughout the evening as guests settled in to the comfy lounge space and networked to the dulcet Motown soundtrack.
Honeycombers Pte Ltd. Founder Chris Edwards made a speech to say thank you to the crowd before things got real, and we mean really real…
Amazing sponsored gifts from our lifestyle partners
We were so excited to be able to give away a selection of wonderful gifts from brands that we genuinely love and support on the regular. The fabulous team at HBO Asia (they’re the ones behind Miss Sherlock and Folklore, FYI) sent over a limited-edition Game of Thrones Monopoly set, which was won by a super fan, and we even had a range of themed shield cushions winging their way to new homes at the event.
Tasty Tai Kwun Thai restaurant Aaharn generously gifted one guest a set lunch for two at their stunning location. If you haven’t checked out this lunch offer (or the restaurant itself), you must do yourself a favour and go, as they have something for everyone: banana blossom salad with prawns, shallots and chilli jam, anyone?!
Next up, Coco Chan, energy healer and oracle card reader, gave one lucky guest the chance to have a one-to-one session with her. With her spiritual awareness, Coco incorporates crystals and aromatherapy into an alternative healing session that helps people achieve balance and clarity; we full recommend booking in for yourself.
And then?
We’re not going to lie. The rest of the evening was pretty much spent finishing off the cocktails and bubbly and getting down on the dancefloor to party tracks from the 90s and 00s. Between taking picks in front of Mudita’s winged mural, catching up with old friends and making new ones, we’d say that an excellent night was had by all.
Before people left to either go home to bed or keep the party going, each guest took home a little something special from our friends at John Masters Organics. If you haven’t tried their exquisite skincare and haircare products, then you’re in for a real treat.
We can’t wait for birthday number three, so stay tuned, Hong Kong!
