Say goodbye to boring brews and raise a glass to Bali’s recent wave of premium and small-batch craft beers, brought to us by Beervana. Cheers!
If you’ve sipped enough stale lagers to last a lifetime, or you can barely stand the sight of another luke-warm pint [we feel you], then fellow beer drinkers you’ll want to raise a glass to Beervana – the craft beer masters [and self proclaimed beer nerds] leading a new revolution of beer drinking here in Bali, by bringing small-batch [and ice-cold] brews to the island – hallelujah!
It’s taken long enough for properly brewed hops to reach us, and now, thanks to Beervana, Bali’s serious beer lovers are being treated to the wonderful world of craft brews. And these aren’t any old beers, either, because the Beervana team are dedicated to their craft, travelling the globe in search of the finest independent brewers, before selecting their favourites to share with thirsty folk around the world. It’s a tough job, but someone’s got to do it, right?
For their first batch into Indonesia [they launched in Jakarta, too], Beervana introduced craft beers from California’s Anderson Valley Brewing Company [the Boont Amber Ale and Heelch O’Hops Double IPA got big – and slightly blurry – thumbs up from us] and now, Beervana is introducing a second brand to the archipelago: Tuatara from New Zealand.
Each with a truly Kiwi twist, Beervana is introducing three core varieties from Tuatara’s mouth-popping brews. There’s the Pilsner, the Sauvinova, and our fave, the APA – a deep and complex beer with a caramel-esque malt sweetness and a vibrant dose of NZ hops. You’ll have to taste it to truly understand, but it comes with the same freshness of New Zealand herself. Yum!
Not sure where to start? Don’t fret. Beervana has been hosting regular tasting sessions across the island for you to get a sip of every single bottle, alongside a Beervana expert who’ll talk you through the history and flavours of each beer. And they’re free, too! Just sign up to the newsletter to find out when the next session is, and you’ll be drinking like a craft beer expert in no time.
WIN WIN WIN
To welcome Beervana to Bali and to celebrate the arrival of these delish New Zealand beers, we’re giving away 1x case [24 beers] of Tuatara [a mixed batch of all three varieties] as well as a Beervana Survival Kit which consists of one Teku glass, Beervana stickers, coasters, and the full Beervana menu – all of which is worth over US$200!
