Ubud’s hottest new eatery had us at hello with its brunchy bites & Tim-Tam-topped Espresso Martinis...
UPDATE: Full Circle has now closed.
Any coffee connoisseur in Bali will be very well acquainted with Expat. Roasters. They’re the coffee experts whose beans have made their way into the coolest cafes and restaurants across the island. After opening their very own cafe-cum-training facility in Petitenget, these bean buffs have now launched a brand new concept in Ubud, this time slinging brunch, brews and daytime booze.
Introducing: Full Circle – a concept by Expat. Roasters and one of our fave Hot New Tables in Bali.
You’ll love it because… Full Circle slings sustainable and delicious dishes from day-to-night, alongside specialty coffee and bespoke cocktails in an incredible architecturally designed space. Sit at the interactive barista bar that takes centre stage, or cosy up in one of the intimate booths. Just about everywhere you sit offers views of the baristas in action…
You’ll want to try… the rolled and roasted, Balinese-spiced Porchetta, served with a gooey fried egg and pea puree. Or, if you have a sweet tooth, try the ever-Insta-worthy brioche French Toast with espresso ice cream, caramelised banana and chocolate crumble. Yum!
Wash it down with… Coffee, coffee and more coffee. The trained baristas here brew Expat. Roasters’ specialty beans, using top-notch alternative brew methods like V60 and syphon machines. They even use Expat. beans for the Espresso Martinis, which come topped with a chocolatey Tim-Tam biscuit… Yes you read that right!
Come back for the… soon-to-open, speakeasy-style bar on the intimate upper floor, slinging just about any kind of classic, modern or tailor-made cocktail you could ever wish for. Simply let the nifty mixologist know the flavours you’re after, and he’ll whip up a creative libation to suit. Cheers. To. That!
