InterContinental Singapore’s Ash & Elm puts a big capital “I” in indulgent with its new Sunday brunch menu, featuring egg staples, grilled meats, fresh seafood, bubbles and – wait for it – all-you-can-eat caviar
The best things in life start with the letter “b” – BFF, bae, bed, bacon, books, bubbles and brunch. Oh, we could go on all day, but we really just want to talk about the two that make us want to get dressed on a Sunday: brunch and bubbles. Brunch in Singapore is serious business, and you can find a decent one that suits your budget and taste with relative ease. But if you want to brunch like the one-percenters without going hungry for the rest of the month, remember this name: Ash & Elm.
The European-themed restaurant at InterContinental Singapore has recently rolled out a new Sunday Brunch menu, and boy, is it extravagant. The sumptuous buffet is made up of not one, not two, but five sections: there’s a charcuterie & cheese room, a seafood corner, an egg station, a live carving station and a dessert station.
Now, something at the seafood corner has us squealing in delight. Besides freshly shucked oysters, lobsters, poached live prawns, and Alaskan king crab, you can go over the top with limitless servings of salty, luxurious caviar. Watch us smear it over everything on our table!
Of course, we’re also excited about the egg station and its offerings of eggs benedict and eggs cocotte (because it’s not brunch without some good ol’ eggs!). Don’t forget to load up on more protein and carbs with mouthwatering plates like the restaurant’s signature chargrilled Iberico pork loin, chicken duxelle roulade, confit duck leg with mashed potato and Boston lobster risotto with diced asparagus, all prepared a la minute.
When you’re ready for sweets, head to the dessert station for oh-so-right creations like the chocolate hazelnut mousse with hazelnut feuilletine, mixed berries cheese cake, baked pistachio cherry crumble, cherry bread and butter pudding, crispy banana strudel and – lo and behold – a chocolate fondue fountain. Not quite sure if you can stomach them all (and get your money’s worth)? The Sunday brunch at Ash & Elm is served in small plates, so you can have a taste of everything, and total control over how stuffed you want to feel by the end of it.
Those with kids in tow, you’re in luck – there’s a kids room at the restaurant, where your little ones are kept occupied with fun activities while you dine in peace.
Ash & Elm’s Sunday brunch is priced at $98 and $138 – the former includes free-flowing juices, soft drinks and make-your-own Bloody Mary cocktails, while the latter includes unlimited pours of Perrier Jouet Champagne, selected wines, and beers.
