Celebrate women with new ALT x ELYX jewellery collection
It’s not often that an alcohol brand teams up with a jewellery brand, and even rarer that it chooses a Singapore-based designer to work with. This is why the new ALT x Absolut Elyx Copper limited edition collection is so cool. ALT by creative director, founder and all round Singapore fashion star Angie Lai-Tay is a local jewellery brand that’s super stylish, affordable and worn by the who’s who of Singapore fashionistas. On top of the stunning shapes like caged-rings, structural cuffs, and Angie’s unique metal shoulder epaulets created in a brilliant copper-rose gold finish, the collection also focuses on upcycling by introducing a creative way to transform discarded materials into beautiful pieces of jewellery.
We also LOVE the super cute pineapple pieces inspired by Absolut Elyx Copper’s pineapple theme. Each piece from the collection is made with brass material melted down from old bombshells left behind during the Vietnam War. Plus, the creation of the jewellery is done using local artisans in various emerging Southeast Asian countries to help with employment, especially for women. And if that isn’t enough reason for you to shop this collection, then check out Angie’s ‘muses’ – Kang, Aarika Lee, Charmaine Seah-Ong, Celina Lin, Paige Parker and Lum May Yee – all of whom embody strength and elegance, just like Angie and her jewellery designs.
The ALT x ELYX collection comes in limited sets and is available from www.ALTthecollection.com. Prices start at $59 for cage-rings, $108 for cuffs and $400 onwards for shoulder epaulets.
