Never underestimate the power of a cute stay-in outfit to perk up your daily stroll to the kitchen.
Next on our online shopping agenda: stay-in outfits. Loungewear might mean different things to different people, but one thing’s for sure: above all, it has to feel comfy. With these picks, you’ll be feeling good and looking stylish too. Because it’s all about finding joy in the little things, amirite?
Sweats all day
There’s no better time to be in sweats, seven days a week. We’re snapping up this opportunity to dress in our most stylishly chill fits. A little online scrolling led us to Bershka’s cutest range of sweats (pictured top). We love how the cropped tees are cinched in at the waist and we’re digging the matching bermuda shorts too (top and pants, $29.90 each). The question is, do we chill out in the yellow fit or have a virtual girls night dressed in pink?
Athleisure for lounging
The athleisure trend isn’t going anywhere and neither are we. But you can still make like you’re off to the gym with your favourite sportswear-inspired outfit. We’re eyeing a pair of airy Puma Core Modern shorts ($43.90) from Zalora in this humid weather. And because comfort is key while lazing around the house, we’re ditching sports bras (we don’t need the struggle of taking them off!) in favour of a matching Puma Prime Classics logo tee ($25.90). Top it all off with a stylish NA-KD tracksuit jacket ($36.90) if the weather gets chilly.
Tropical vacay vibes
If you haven’t been feeling too bright, treating your vacay clothes as loungewear might lift your mood. Slip into the Cotton On oversized resort shirt ($20.99) in rosy-hued stripes to take you through a day of chores or working from home. Now that the days are all blending together, throw on a tropical kaftan from River Island ($51.88) during the weekend to get you in the mood for a break – even if you can’t have an actual getaway.
Vintage casual
We’re calling it: a vintage-style tee won’t ever go out of style. In our books, anyway. Cop the Jagger & Stone number with a vintage eagle print ($74.99) if oversized tees are your thing (just add bike shorts or leggings to complete your look). Or, go a little extra with an Asos Design leopard pants ($59.99) and Reclaimed Vintage cropped top ($25.99) ensemble. Snap a few selfies while you’re at it!
PJs, but not quite
If part of you wishes to stay in your PJs but you don’t feel inspired to get sh*t done in them, a cami dress might be your new loungewear staple. We love the Holley camisole slip dress ($39.90) from Love, Bonito that feels like sleepwear but looks decidedly dressier. Looking for something that’s comfy yet video call-appropriate? We’ve got you covered with the pastel green polka dot look from Pomelo (shirt dress and pants, $31.20 each). This could go both ways: throw it on at home for a pyjama-like fit, or don it with heels and a slick hairdo when you return to the office.
Sweater weather feels
For those stormy days or afternoons spent with the AC on full blast, get cosy in a sweater or hoodie. Want in on the lilac trend? We spotted this Asos Design tracksuit hoodie and joggers set ($74.99) that looks oh-so-snug. If you wanna feel dressed for work (from home), the Mango knot detail sweater ($55.90) has our vote for its understated chicness.
