The gods of music festivals have blessed us with plenty of great names in the last few years – and boy, aren’t they stopping (we’re not complaining). This November, get ready your beer goggles, comfy kicks, denim shorts and sunglasses as Singapore welcomes yet another kick-ass outdoor music and arts festival, Neon Lights, at Fort Canning Park, bringing with it some of the biggest indie names in the world (move over, Laneway).
Take a deep breath, music junkies. The line-up will set pulses racing with legendary Irish singer-songwriter Damien Rice and chart-topping Australian duo Flight Facilities headlining the event. Sharing the stage with them are — wait for it — Nouvelle Vague, CHIC featuring Nile Rodgers, Kiasmos, Ride, Ratatat, Mr. Scruff, The Field, Shugo Tokumaru, Sun Kil Moon, Julia Holter, Songhoy Blues, Bennett Bay, and Singapore’s very own band Hanging Up The Moon. Besides feeding you with amazing sounds and beats, the festival will also feature a showcase of art works by talented visual artists as well as a line-up of comedy performances.
