For those who crave the good old days, head to Lee Gardens and enjoy vintage cocktails along with live music at the Yum Sing Bar pop-up
After tasting the weekday lunch bento boxes at Armani/ Aqua, trying the French cheese from La Cremerie and buying your mooncakes for the Mid Autumn festival, indulge in a vintage cocktail and listen to live music at the Yum Sing Bar pop-up at Lee Gardens One in Causeway Bay.
Yum Sing Bar pop-up installation
In celebration of the 20th anniversary of Lee Gardens, Hysan Development has opened up a really cool pop-up: Yum Sing Bar. The installation is actually a recreation of the once legendary bar, that existed three decades ago at the former Lee Gardens Hotel. The installation aims to represent Hong Kong’s culture, heritage and the local community – and we think that’s pretty great.
The patterns on the floor, uniforms and cocktails – banana daiquiri, anyone? – are all taken from the original bar that was a hit with local and expat scenesters back in the 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s. We definitely recommend trying The Peak ($88), a bourbon float with a splash of red wine, and settling in at the bar to listen to the fabulous live music.
Popping-up at Lee Garden One in Causeway Bay, visitors can enjoy designer drinks from 18-21 September and 25-27 September. Put on your best vintage outfit and head out for a night of classy – and great value – cocktails with your besties.
