Breaking away from its sister hotel in Kowloon, Pentahotel Hong Kong, Tuen Mun features Parisian style contemporary design with a few quirky touches and some great HK references
Hotels in Hong Kong cater to a range of different needs – from hotel spas to in-house wellness programmes – that’s why we all love having a staycation in Hong Kong. For the business traveller that loves design, you can’t go past The Fleming in Wan Chai and Hotel Icon in Tsim Sha Tsui, but if you are looking for something in Tuen Mun to be near the conference facilities of universities in the area, then look no further than Pentahotel Hong Kong, Tuen Mun. A modern property in a converted industrial building that puts emphasis on chic interior design and a fun take on life.

Pentahotel Hong Kong, Tuen Mun: For the modern traveller
The first international hotel brand to enter Tuen Mun, Pentahotel Hong Kong, Tuen Mun is the second property for the German-based hospitality company in the city, following on from the 2013 opening of Pentahotel Hong Kong, Kowloon (which we love!). A new generation of hotels that cater to modern-minded individuals and business travellers, the lifestyle brand – with 28 hotels across seven countries – is both playful and chic when it comes to interior design and marketing. So we had to go and try it out!
Pentahotel Hong Kong, Tuen Mun

Housed in a former industrial building, Pentahotel Hong Kong, Tuen Mun features 298 rooms that are all decked out with modern features. A blend of local references – we love the Hong Kong iconic wallpaper that features well-known buildings and landmarks from throughout the city – and contemporary rustic decor, expect paired back minimalism in every room.
Wardrobes are simply industrial pipes that have been fashioned into hanging rails, while a working old school telephone connects you with reception. The bathroom even features a black metal door in reference to the building that once stood in the hotel’s place, and these little fun design elements truly make the hotel unique.
The 24/7 gym is a nice addition to the property and is big enough for HIIT and interval training, with a range of free weights, medicine balls and yoga mats available. We liked the selection of machines available too, with everything from elliptical to treadmills and weight machines onsite.
Food and things

For all your food and beverage needs, Pentalounge on the first floor is the place to be. This is where the hearty buffet breakfast is served along with food throughout the day and a bar area at night. The space is also home to a number of pool tables, a library and a PlayStation 4 to keep you entertained.
While the hotel doesn’t have any spa or any swimming facilities like its Kowloon counterpart, it’s the perfect location for those on business in Tuen Mun or for those looking to just get away for the weekend.
