Six Hong Kong artists have come together on the ground floor of new development Yat Fu lane in Shek Tong Tsui to bring some colour and energy to the streets with the pop-up exhibition 六合彩 MARK6
From the creative studios at PMQ to local footwear designers and companies making sustainable products, Hong Kong has quite the thriving arts scene – if you know where to look! One event in September that is taking visual art out of the art galleries and bringing it to the streets is 六合彩 MARK6, a pop-up exhibition at Yat Fu Lane in Shek Tong Tsui that features six Hong Kong artists.
六合彩 MARK6 at Yat Fu Lane
Launching on 7 September at 6pm, 六合彩 MARK6 is set to be a great pop-up exhibition hosted by HKwalls and the developers behind the Yat Fu Lane project District15. The event also represents the launch of Yat Fu Lane, a contemporary development in Shek Tong Tsui that will house lifestyle and creative retail when completed.
The pop-up exhibition features six well known Hong Kong artists who you may recognise from former HKwalls events, all with their own unique style: Bao Ho, KristopherH, Onion Peterman, Sinic Choy, Wong Ting Fung and Xeme. Each artist has taken over a space on the ground floor at Yat Fu Lane and created micro-environments that reflect Hong Kong and what it means to them.
We're live at Yat Fu Lane for the launch of the 六合彩 MARK6 exhibition that is kicking off tonight from 6pm. We're chatting with the teams from District15 and HKwalls as well as some of the local Hong Kong artists taking part.

While 六合彩 or MARK6 usually refers to the Hong Kong lottery, when the name is broken down it actually means six, together, colour – the perfect title for this collaborative and colourful exhibition.
Sustainable paint creators Eico have partnered with the event, along with Young Master Ales and BottlesXO, meaning you can sip on a cold beer or wine as you take in the creative surroundings – we like!
Be sure to head down to launch party from 6pm on 7 September or visit the exhibition before the end of September to support local artists and the Hong Kong creative scene.
