Managed by Broadway Cinema, MOViE MOViE Cityplaza is not only a chic theatre but also a cosy cultural hub for bookworms and vintage lovers. This place has six theatres, some equipped with Dolby Atmos, and some with Auromax and 4K laser. Other than the trending movies, guests can also enjoy niche films and classical works. What’s more, if you are familiar with Kubrick (an outstanding bookstore in Hong Kong), check out House by Kubrick right inside the theatre. 4. Festival Grand Cinema
Not exactly a new movie theatre in Hong Kong, but Festival Grand Cinema serves as a crucial movie hub for those living around the Kowloon Tong area. This cinema has eight houses and 1,200 seats, including the BEA Festival Suite that serves as a private event space. In order to provide a satisfying snacking experience for its guests, the theatre invited a Japanese pastry chef to design the food menu, offering delectable snacks like cheese tart, homemade cream puff, and cream soup. The chocolate-flavoured popcorn at the kiosk is also a highlight.

5. Broadway Cinematheque

Opened in May 2020, Premiere Elements is one of the largest theatres in Hong Kong. It has twelve 4K houses, including a CGS Laser Large house, THX Ultimate house, three Dolby Atmos sound houses, and a VIP house. All seating is made with real leather, ensuring guests not only a great audio visual experience but also a relaxing ambience. Moreover, Chiba Premiere, the food and beverage zone, provides luxurious movie snacks like German pork knuckles, Italian ham, and Spanish cheese. Running late? Emperor Cinemas is a brand new stylish cinema located in the heart of Central right next to LKF, aiming to provide a relaxing theatrical space for moviegoers complete with luxurious amenities. Their VIP house – The Coronet – will send gourmet meals and fine drinks straight to their customers upon request, making sure they feel pampered and special. Screenings here include arthouse movies and selected international and local films. While the prices may be a little higher than your average cinema, expect first class service and amenities, making it definitely one of the best cinemas in Hong Kong.

10. Hong Kong Space Museum

Fooody is one of the designated screening venues for non-profit organisation New Wave Motion’s monthly film screenings and Q&A sessions. Such collaboration is dedicated to promoting independent films in Hong Kong. From dialogue-free experimental films to theatre classics, this antique music cafe is a wonderful creative space for movie lovers and critics to have a good exchange of questions, opinions, and feedback.
