The stylish retreat, The Hari Hong Kong, will be hosting The Great Gatsby-themed party at its innovative Japanese dining establishment, Zoku Restaurant & The Terrace. To reflect The Hari Hong Kong’s unique brand DNA, the hotel invites its guests to bask in the extravagance and opulence of the “Roaring Twenties”, a decade that brought forth rapid industrial and economic growth in many nations, and introduced significant new trends in lifestyle and culture.
The team at The Hari Hong Kong have specially curated an unforgettable evening for the senses and tastebuds to enliven the spirit of celebration and lavishness that F. Scott Fitzgerald’s Jay Gatsby has been renowned for. Guests are encouraged to get into the mood and vivify the evening by dressing up in attire to match the theme and as an ode to the galvanising fashion of the “Roaring Twenties”.
The evening’s dinner menu boasts six courses, starting with a selection of Snacks including Unagi, Foie Gras, and Apple Chilli Sauce Nori Crackers with Ponzu and Caviar. A Crudo of Amaebi, Ikura, and Horse Mackerel is followed by Wagyu Nigiri, while the mains include a slow cooked Octopus and a grilled Ribeye. To complete the evening, a Japanese Fruit Tart will provide a satisfactory and tangy finish.
Accompanying the meal is a themed drinks list consisting of cocktails such as Whiskey Neat, Golden Age Spritz, Gatsby Highball, Tea Party, Mint Julep, as well as Maison L’Huillier Champagne and Asahi beer.
The dinner menu will be served from 6pm to 9pm and priced at $1,288 per person, inclusive of a six-hour free-flow of beverages until 12am. Guests can also enjoy canapés and free-flow drinks between 9pm and 12am, priced at $888 per person. Prices quoted are subject to a 10% service charge.
