Turquoise bays, rugged hillsides, and soon a six-star resort with staggering views and an award-winning design...
It’s no secret that Lombok is one of our fave island escapes – just a hop, skip and a short 20 minute flight from Bali. This lush, unspoilt land full of turquoise bays, soft sandy beaches, colourful marine life and rugged hillsides is a breathtaking contrast to the buzz of Bali, and as of July 2019, we’ll have one more reason to visit this pristine paradise…
Soft opening at the end of summer ’19, The Legian Sire, Lombok is opening on one of Lombok’s prettiest stretches of sand – the 3.8 kilometre-long Sire Beach that’s home to Lombok’s only international championship 18-hole golf course. This all-suite and villa resort will be the sister destination to Bali’s beloved The Legian Seminyak, marking the second venture for the newly formed LHM Group – a luxury hospitality and lifestyle brand set to expand throughout Asia and beyond.
Besides the six-star luxuries that we’ve come to love from The Legian Seminyak, Bali, this new island love in North Lombok will have staggering views towards the Gili islands, Bali’s Mount Agung and Lombok’s mighty Mount Rinjani – the second highest peak in Indonesia.
Here’s what else you can expect from this brand new Lombok resort…
Boutique Suites & Villas
In true LHM style, exclusivity and highly-personalised levels of service are the name of the game here, so The Legian Sire, Lombok will have a boutique-style feel, featuring just 46 suites and a three-bedroom penthouse, plus 15 pool villas at the super-chic The Club at The Legian Sire, Lombok. All of these stunning abodes overlook the sea and are notably large in size, some with their own beautiful ponds, pools, butler services and access to the resort’s Club Lounge, which will serve complimentary, round-the-clock drinks to guests staying in the Club Suites and Villas.
Swoon-Status Designs
The Legian Sire, Lombok is set to become one of Lombok’s most impressive and luxurious design statements, with its two-tiered swimming pool and infinite views over the horizon, and its large, ocean-facing private terraces in every suite, thanks to the clever shape of the resort that catches the cool sea breeze. You can also expect calm, timeless spaces, with local culture and craftsmanship celebrated throughout. Think hand-woven ‘Tenun Ikat’ fabrics from Sumba, and exquisitely detailed ‘lattice’ walls, hand-carved in solid teak from Sumbawa. Interior addicts, this resort is for you.
Wellness Done Right
Taking the fabulous Wellness By The Legian concept to Lombok, at The Legian Sire, you can expect blissful spa treatments, nutrition, fitness and highly personalised programmes curated by Wellness Concierges, delivered by expert Wellness Practitioners. Think holistic local-healing treatments, a Himalayan Salt wall for ‘halotherapy’, daily yoga, mindfulness meditation and visualisation sessions, as well as PT, HIIT, Aqua aerobics and Group Spin classes. Seasonal retreat programmes will be also available, led by leading consultants from around the world.
Guilt-Free Feasting
The hotel’s approach to gastronomy will make the most of the resort’s own organic fruit and vegetable garden. Organic, local and sustainably sourced ingredients will be transformed at The Restaurant to create a contemporary a la carte ‘sea-and-farm-to-table’ all-day-dining destination. There’ll also be The Vegetarian restaurant, using only organic, home-grown vegetarian ingredients, as well as The Lobby Lounge, which will serve coffee, afternoon tea and cocktails, and The Cucina – a casual alfresco dining option serving salads, freshly caught fish, and homemade pizza and pasta dishes. YUM!
Yup, we’re already planning our Lombok escape, so keep your eyes peeled for our full grand opening review coming soon, and reserve your stay at The Legian Sire, Lombok, stat…
