The best new villas & hotels in Bali 2026
Hilton Garden Inn Bali – Nusa Dua
A cosy, family-friendly stay just steps from Tanjung Benoa Beach.

Nusa Dua has always been one of my go-to recommendations for anyone travelling with family, and with Hilton Garden Inn Bali now in the area, that choice feels even more solid. This new hotel brings a fresh, modern feel to the neighbourhood, with comfortable rooms, a great location just minutes from Tanjung Benoa Beach, and plenty of family-friendly perks.
I just have to mention their Kids’ Club, it’s spacious and built with a tropical jungle theme. They offer fun activities like arts and crafts, storytelling, and movie time to keep little ones happy. There’s also an outdoor pool, a fitness centre, and the all-day restaurant Together & Co. serving healthy, crowd-pleasing dishes. It’s an easy, fuss-free base for families wanting a relaxed Bali holiday without compromising comfort.
Best for: Families and travellers wanting a relaxed resort stay with easy beach access and kid-friendly perks
Good to know: Their Kids’ Club isn’t just for toddlers, it has different zones for older kids too, from painting corners to a gaming-console area.
Address: Jl. Pratama No.57A, Tanjung, Benoa

Equipoise Resort Ubud – Ubud
A peaceful adults-only hideaway where wellness meets quiet luxury.

There’s no place that does wellness quite like Ubud, and if you’re after something new, Equipoise Resort is one to bookmark. This adults-only stay is tucked between rice fields and jungle greens, built almost entirely from reclaimed wood and bamboo, so you feel that sense of calm the moment you breathe in the fresh Ubud air.
The real star here is the Hammana Spa at the heart of the resort, offering personalised rituals based on Balinese Wariga wisdom (you even get your own custom oil blend). And for the perfect evening, you can book a Starlight Cinema night to cosy up under the open sky for an intimate movie session. It’s basically Ubud’s slow life at its best.
Best for: Couples or solo travellers craving a quiet, design-forward wellness escape
Good to know: They offer cultural sessions like pottery, silver, batik, and even joining farmers in the terraces, just make sure to book in advance!
Address: Jl. Raya Desa Kenderan
The Mandapa River Estate – Ubud
A relaxed Ubud villa made for luxurious group getaways.

Mandapa aka Bali’s only three-MICHELIN-Key hotel, just unveiled The Mandapa River Estate and it’s nothing short of extraordinary. If you’re the type who travels in comfort and doesn’t mind a little splurge, this one’s for you. This reimagined three-bedroom estate sits right next to a 500-year-old temple, giving the whole place this magical, hidden-sanctuary vibe. Think private pool, lush gardens and that signature Mandapa quiet-luxury energy. Their infinity pool is climate-controlled (bless Ubud weather), surrounded by tropical gardens, and you can hear the Ayung River flowing right below. It truly feels like your very own dreamland in the heart of Ubud.
Best for: Big groups or families wanting a little quiet getaway and quality time
Good to know: This villa comes with a fully equipped kitchen, and you can request a private chef if you want to stay in.
Address: Jl. Raya Kedewatan, Banjar, Ubud
Alpha Wolf Lodge – Tabanan
Bali’s first wolf sanctuary and eco-luxury villas.

Here’s something you don’t see every day in Bali – an actual wolf lodge! Located inside Nuanu Creative City in Tabanan, Alpha Wolf Lodge is the Southern Hemisphere’s first wolf sanctuary with a cosy stay. If you’re looking for something different from the usual beach clubs and boutique villas, this one is worth checking out.
The highlight of this stay is of course the wolf sanctuary. Their “wolfies” have been raised with human interaction since they were pups, and guests can join supervised walks, yoga sessions, feeding time, and even picnics in the wild. And because it sits inside Nuanu Creative City, you also get easy access to the creative spaces and events happening within the area. If you’re planning a unique Bali getaway, Alpha Wolf Lodge absolutely fits the brief.
Best for: Couples and solo travellers who want a one-off Bali stay with nature and animal encounters.
Good to know: The lodge only has a handful of rooms, and wolf activities need to be booked in advance, so planning ahead is your best bet.
Address: Nuanu Creative City, Tabanan.
Anantara – Ubud
A serene highland hideaway in the jungle, offering forest‑view villas and deep‑dive wellness experiences.

Nestled in the lush highlands of Payangan, Anantara Ubud is one of those places that makes you exhale the second you arrive. Surrounded by rice terraces and thick jungle, it feels miles away from the buzz of Bali’s southern shores in the best way possible.
The villa was everything we’d expect from Anantara: spacious, stylish, and super private, with a plunge pool that overlooked the treetops. The dining offerings are just as curated. Amerta serves dry-aged seafood and tasting menus that elevate local ingredients into fine-dining territory. Kirana, on the other hand, serves Indonesian specialties and poolside bites in a more relaxed setting. Whether you’re here with your partner, your family or just treating yourself to some solo weekend getaway, Anantara Ubud is the kind of place that stays with you long after checkout.
Best for: Couples looking to recharge with forest views, fine dining, and immersive wellness.
Good to know: The resort is set into a hillside, so be prepared for a few steps or inclinator rides. And while it’s away from the buzz, there’s a free shuttle to Ubud town a few times a day.
Address: Jl. Raya Puhu No. 88, Payangan.
Mira Hotel & Recovery – Bingin
Design-led boutique hotel in Bingin with stylish rooms, cold plunges, sauna sessions, and a recovery space for wellness lovers.

Mira Hotel & Recovery is where laid-back beach life meets high-end healing. It brings a modern, minimalist edge to the wellness hotel scene, with studio lofts and suites that open onto gardens or quiet courtyards. Think warm textures, clean lines and thoughtful calm, the kind of place that makes you instantly breathe deeper.
This isn’t your typical hotel spa, it’s a full-on wellness circuit with contrast therapy at its core. There’s a huge dry sauna, multiple cold plunge pools set at different temps (I did the rounds!), a warm Jacuzzi, and shaded spots to lounge post-sweat. The minimalist design and moody lighting made it feel almost meditative.
Best for: Wellness lovers and surfers who want a stylish, peaceful place with saunas and cold plunges near the beach.
Good to know: The recovery space can get popular in the afternoons, morning sessions are best for quiet.
Address: Jl. Bangbang Metuug No. 2, Bingin
Akohara Buahan Village Retreat – Ubud

It’s no secret that Ubud is Bali’s ultimate wellness destination, so Akohara Buahan Village Retreat fits right in with the neighbourhood. Nestled on the northern outskirts of Ubud, this wellness retreat (and super romantic hideaway) offers a tranquil escape from the hustle and bustle of Bali’s southern streets.
The eco-friendly hotel invites each guest to immerse in nature, with lush greenery as far as the eye can see. Each villa features a thatched roof, its very own pool, locally-made fabrics and Balinese touches in every corner. Yep, this is where nature, culture and comfort collide.

Rob Peetoom Canggu – Canggu
New luxury hair spa and salon in Canggu.

If you’ve ever left a haircut feeling like you just had therapy, Rob Peetoom Canggu takes that feeling to the next level! Set just off Padang Linjong in a stunning bamboo and glass structure designed by architect Andra Matin, this is no ordinary salon. It’s a space where hairstyling is treated as an artform, from scalp consultations and custom masks to aromatherapy oils and calming herbal teas.
Just like its sister salons in Ubud and Seminyak, Rob Peetoom Canggu delivers that signature calming energy. With peaceful rice field views and the quiet charm of Padang Linjong, it’s the kind of spot you’ll want to come back to (I know I will!).

Workshops at Umah Living – Seminyak
Eco-conscious Candle & Room Spray Making Workshop using soy wax and premium oils to capture Bali’s natural scents.

If you love the luxurious scent of frangipani or the sea-salty breeze, you can now capture the aroma that reminds you of Bali at Umah Living’s Candle & Room Spray Making Workshop. Guided by the store’s expert artisans, you’ll learn the craft using eco-conscious materials, including soy candle and premium fragrance oils, to create your own signature scents to take home.
The workshop starts with an exploration of scent blending – top, middle, and base notes – and lets you pour your personalised candle, and mix a room spray that reminds you of your Bali memories.
Best for: Couples or small groups who want a hands-on, relaxing activity in Bali.
Good to know: You’ll leave with your handcrafted candle and signature room spray, and a deeper appreciation of Bali’s natural botanicals.
Address: Jl Mertanadi No. 72, Kerobokan.
Klay Bar – Canggu
Canggu’s first sip & paint bistrot for small groups, offering painting on Javanese clay pieces while enjoying cocktails and bar bites.

Sipping and painting go hand in hand in my books. So when I heard that there’s a spot in Canggu where you can do both, I went there to check it out! Klay Bar is an activity-focused bistrot brought to us by a wonderful team of ladies who love art. It’s the first of its kind in Canggu, where everyone is welcome to paint clay pieces whilst sipping on cocktails, grazing on bar bites (think cheese platters, cold cuts, croquettes and fresh oysters) and keeping the conversation going.
I first got to choose my own clay piece, AKA my canvas. There’s a variety to choose from, from bowls and plates, to mugs and tea cups. They’re all minimalist and elegant in design, crafted with Javanese clay. Then, I picked the colours I wanted to use before I settled in for a fun-filled afternoon with a mimosa in hand. Cheers to that!
Best for: Small groups looking for a fun and social afternoon in Canggu.
Good to know: To finish, the clay pieces are heated in the kiln for a few days. You’ll want to check with the team beforehand, if you’re in Bali for a limited time.
Address: Jl Tanah Barak No. 1a, Canggu.
More New Things in Bali 2026

One of my travel rituals is tasting a locally-brewed craft beer, and lucky for us, there’s a newly launched addition to Bali-based breweries: Beaches. This independent, locally-owned brewery uses all-natural and sustainably sourced ingredients to create beers that are super drinkable! I tried both of their signatures, and my favourite is the light-bodied Cerveza lager with a citrusy finish – it’s perfect for any occasion, whether you’re toasting to sunset or hanging out post-dinner with your crew.
For cocktail aficionado, how about a sip of the newly launched vodka, Blackrock? Hand-distilled in Bali using volcanic rock filtered spring water, this local spirit showcases expert craftsmanship through its purity, minerality and oh-so-smooth finish. Every sip is clean and crisp, thanks to a multi-stage charcoal filtration process, yet retains an earthy edge – a nod to the volcanic rock that shapes its character. Blackrock is brought to us by the team behind Bali’s Kura Kura Beer, Santai Seltzer and Three Peaks Gin, so they know their alcohol!
